Steering stand help

Ok. Well I have a logitech G27 steering wheel and My dad being as cheap as he is. built a home made stand/seat he has attempted this twice his first attempt was out of wood and screws and after a day the seat broke. his second attempt is made from a bicycle workout machine and a peice of wood:nervous: now francly its a little embarassing to have either of those. so Ill cut to the chase I need a G27 compatible seat or stand for under 300 american dollars. if you can send me links to the website I would much appreciate it. Feedback is welcome

What about tooling around the junkyard for a day and finding a seat that works well, and building a PVC stand, which there are great directions for on here. Make it a father-son project.
 
Dude that has to be one of the funiest stories I have heard in a little while LOL. I'm not trying to rag on your dad at all, but to picture in my mind what you described has me ROTFLMAO.

I 👍 the wheelstandpro.com post. I use the G25/27 Deluxe stand for my G27. You most def get your $160 worth, it never tips and it has plenty of options to adjust to your height / wheel level preference. The next best thing to having a playseat. I do NOT miss having to clamp down to an end table with its legs propped on books to get the right height and re-twisting the clamp locks every 2 laps so it didn't fly off mid turn...so lame.
 
Tell you're dad that you love him now...right now. Your story just made me teary eyed. I can tell that your dad loves you so much.

Anyway wheelstand pro is more than perfect for your budget. Or if can go a bit over budget check out Obutto sim rig.
 
Did he buy you the G27? If he did(which I get the feeling he did by the tone of your post), I wouldn't dare call him cheap. I'm an adult and had to purchase my own wheel and went with the much cheaper DFGT. Didn't feel cheap when I bought it either.

Using a WSP here and if things get hectic, yes, it DOES tip.
 
A friend of mine once built himself a stand out of wood, now he doesn't use it anymore, so he gave it to me. Awesome work he did, it's perfect :D
 
Me and my buddy built the attached. It took us about an hour and half to build out of what was hanging about in is garage. Yes, the seat was hanging about in his garage. I'm looking for setup ideas myself as I'm not a millionaire and don't have alot of room!
Trying to get a pic uploaded from my phone but it's not working. I'll keep trying!
