I have seen a cheap thrustmaster ferrari gt 3 in 1
1. Is this model any good
2. Does it really make that much of a difference

Steering wheels are way more fun to drive and offer better control for your car.
As for that model, I wouldn't know. Is it supported by gt6 and does it have force feedback?

Best wheel for buck is the Logitech G27 you can find on amazon.com for cheap.

1. No, its rubbish. Mine was in bits after 3 months use, had to solder in new tactile switches for the shifters. Theres a reason why its cheap.

2. Yes. When I could no longer cope with taking it apart and fixing it, I got a Logitech Driving Force GT. 2 years later its still as good as the day I took it out of the box, never had to take it apart. Proper force feedback, which the Ferrari wheel doesnt have on PS3 (actually it doesnt have it on PC either, its just 2 motors like you find in a Dual Shock Controller), fully supported in GT5 and 6. Dont waste your money, save a little longer and get something better.

Hope this helps!

For future reference, theres a whole sub forum on GT Planet dedicated to sim racing peripherals and everything else you could ever need.

I say get a G27. It's definitely not cheap, but what you get for its price is one of the best wheels out there. IMO only Thrustmaster T500RS tops it.

I've had mine for one and a half year by now, and let me just say it only let me down once, but just because it got dusty inside and I had to clean it.

And clutch shifting is jsut soooo satisfying! :D

If you are on a budget then the Logitech Driving Force GT is the the one. Wheel is great, but the pedals leave something to be desired. If you can spring for it, then go Logitech G27. Either will leave you satisfied for the money you spend on them.

It depends if you want a shifter or not - I used to use a Logitech Driving Force GT, but in my opinion, it's worth paying the extra £80 or so for the G27. 👍

Thanks for the offer man and all the advice but i dont play that much to spend that much just want a cheap one might just leave it stick with ds3

For the quality, I would stick with the DS3 until you feel like saving up for a Driving Force GT, it is the most I would suggest for a casual gamer like yourself (and lowest I would suggest because of the good quality in them).

Just wondering what you are running for controls, default settings?
