Steering Wheel

I run a G25 using clutch always (mostly drift Autumn or do Spoon Civic Tsukuba battles).
-Modded shifter bushing for heavier engaging feel.
-Drift FFB settings 8/8
-Race FFB settings 10/10

I did just add a 350mm deep corn wheel recently, but the bearing case inside the G25 cracked (I'm guessing from the amount of force used for correcting and transitioning from full lock to full lock over time) causing the wheel to have a large amount of up play. Thus making wheel correction very difficult.
Expoxied it but it seems to have cracked again. Will be trying JB weld next.

Has anybody had any similar issues with or without a bigger wheel? If so, any solutions or suggestions?

turn your FFB settings might help too with a bigger wheel

Like I said, bearing case is cracked. Increasing the FFB would be sweet but would only make the issue worse. Decreasing would help a bit I'd imagine but of course with the sacrifice of driving feel, realism, etc so f that. Replacing the bearing case itself would be ideal, maybe someone has a broken G25 or just some parts laying around I can buy? :D

Sweet man, thanks!

Is it worth upgrading to a g27 from dfgt?
NO!!!

Wait for the G29. My guess is that it will be cheaper (about $199 USD, but with an optional shifter), and the G27 will not work with the PS4.

does GT6 work on the ps4? would i be better off buying the ps4 now instead of a ps3

Use your dfgt for now. When the G29 comes out it will work with the PS3 and the PS4.

The xbox price just dropped. You might want to wait on getting a PS4. Sony will more than likely lower the price soon.

PS4 gets you the stunning visuals of Drive Club, the great physics and gameplay of Project Cars, next year the class leading physics and FFB of Assetto Corsa and then after that most likely, GT7. I'd go PS4 personally.

Got DFGT about a month ago, took a while to get used to after years of DS2/3, now turning is better than controller but correcting mistakes takes a lot of time for me, like reversing back onto road quickly, and now not so much but I still have some issues with nipping a skid in the bud, I usually end up releasing more than necessary throttle as I find countersteering difficult but it costs time overall!

From what I've read, I don't know if I'd go so far as to call Assetto Corsa "class leading physics and FFB". From countless hours of reading non-biased comparisons, reviews, etc. rFactor 2 seems to be considered the grand-daddy of SIM physics. Again, I have about 10 minutes of Assetto Corsa experience and 0 rFactor 1 or 2 experience. I'm just going based on what I've read or have had discussions with people whom I consider fairly serious Sim drivers, people who have all the sim titles.

But, for what it's worth, I'm thinking of getting a G29 wheel so I can use it on my PS3 now (to replace an aging DFGT and especially replace the crappy pedals that come with a DFGT) and then bring it with me to the PS4, which I'm not sure of when I'll actually buy it...Maybe sooner than I was originally planning, now that pCars is available for the PS4. Obviously, I can't hold my breath for GT7.

I have the DFGT and have settings set to 2 and 4. I have read posts that those having it set to max have had the gears break inside. Mine is used at least 3 times a week for the last 4 years with no problems.
