You know what's wrong with the world? Stereotyping.

If you're a guy the no one likes or you say the stupidest things, you're automatically gay, inferring that you're sexual preference depends on how popular you are or how many friends you have.

And if you're a girl that says ditsy things, you're blonde.

But is it bad to be gay? People can say it's bad to be straight.

And by the way, I am, indeed, straight.

yeah....people get a stereotypical view of me......because i skate and have different hair style they all think im a stoner, high school drop-out and all round stupid. I HATE THAT

Yea, and you're an Aussie. ;)

Dunno if that is a stereotype, rather a common insult cottoned onto by people who, for some reason, find the need to confirm their sexuality by deriding others.

Stereotyping can lead to some great comedy. Only the stupid get insulted by it. Like black people.

Unfortunately, my forlorn country lacks an advanced sense of humour. Countless TV adverts have been withdrawn because people have been "offended" at harmless things.

It's pretty irrelevant to me now but before I hated being asian on top of having glasses and I was automatically thought to be "smart". Now you'd think that this should be go for me but it wasn't because I didn't fit the stereotype and always felt I was a discrace to asians and my parents. Like in the last samurai being asian growing up can be a little harsh and so I struggled with it and still have effects from it that now work against me.

what utter rubbish, do you know the definition of stereotyping? what you are quoted as saying is nothing but good old fashioned name-calling.

if a guy was gay then we could make assumptions about him, such as he likes the Bee Gees, lives in San Fransico and is popular with his girlfriends....

Scots are mean,
Irish are stupid,
Welsh are sheep shaggers
English are snooty
Americans are overweight and under educated
French are arrogant
Germans have no sense of humour
Italian tanks have 4 gears, 1 forward and 3 reverse...

etc etc..

THESE ARE STEREOTYPES....(not invented by me btw)

flaming?,...everyone knows i am only kidding....look i said Scots at the top of the list and if you cant have a laugh at yourself then God help us...

i am the least anti-american on this board...:)

there are a certian group of people that people say im racist towards, but im only racist towards those group of people if they ARE that stereotype that they are known for. i am not mentioning the group just for my own reasons.

I'm pretty much against allstereotypes, however becuase of a certain stereotype about me no one EVER asks me for a dollar...I'll let people figure that one out.

All you Americans are alike...

 Yeah, i shouldnt say that because im American myself. I was born in Long Beach, California so that makes me an American citizen. :D Im very proud also. Im Chinese so Stereotype isnt at all new to me. Alot of people just think since im Chinese that i came from China or Japan.

I try not to let it get me down, i live in the South, TN. Homes of the rednecks (stereotyping) I know what it feels like to be teased because im "different". I hate all kind of racial remarks, i get pissed off easily, most of the time if its about other people i would get piss but not say anything since its none of my business. When i was younger most of my fights were about this, but now since im in highschool most of the kids there are all alike teasing on who and what is different.

These days, i dont really let it get me down. I kinda go along with it. I always play around. Like when we have a sub for our class I would usually act like i cant speak or read english and etc. Its fun once in a while.

i hate being called mexican( no offence anyone!). im filipino!! just wanted to say it because this racial thing has been going on for about a month for me now( being called mexican that is).

Sorry if i said anything to offend anyone....... if i did!

When was the last time you went to a dentist?

if you read past the shock horror headline you would know that the service in the UK is being strangled by the govt...it doesnt mean that we dont go to the dentist, the British have some of the greatest awareness of oral hygiene in the world but when dentists dont get paid and the NHS funding is in crisis people always start panic mongering....and there will always be some little nobrain to believe the BS.
