Stig suit exists!!

Don't know if everyone knows this so posting just in case. Just today when I started GT5 and it passed the splash screen to where you can select Career or Arcade mode, you see videos of some sort in the background. Sometimes of a car sometimes something random. Well this time it was my driver walking through what appeared to be a museum of gear. First the helmets, then racing suits. As he was walking though all the different suits, one in particular standed out, one in pure white with black stitching that we are very familiar with on Top Gear.... STIGGY!

My speculation is that PD will do an event similar to the Nascar seasonal where you do a race and receive a signature suit, but for this one it will take place on the Top Gear Test Track.

Again, if this is old news, disregard this but sure surprised me!

I haven't noticed this myself. I don't think it's an indication that the Stig suit will be made available but then again, I could be wrong.
If it comes in a new seasonal then it's going to be anything but rare, just the same way that the J.G suit is now being dupes and traded millions of times.

That's what I'm saying. They did it for Jeff Gordon so why not Stiggy?
 
This has been discovered when helmets and suits were released for the first time...


Nevertheless, I think special suits should not be tradeable to preserve "rarity".

I'd rather pay for it (DLC) or complete an extremely hard challenge to get it... the NASCAR seasonal was so easy I didn't felt Jeff Gorgon's gear as a "special" prize...
 
To earn Stigs suit the challenge should be something most won't want to do, a crazy endurance race, or just a hard time trial.

I agree, if Stiggys suit became available everyone would have it, but then again, it's not like you notice other players suits while your playing anyway..
 
I agree with the last three posters, the Stig suit should only be worn by the real Stig and by you 3 guys.

Lol they should have the stig do a lap in gt5 and then you have to beat him fer the suit xD
 
What's all this fixation about racing suits? Did everyone here enjoy dressing up their Barbie dolls or something 'cos i can't get my head around the significance of a racing game (where most people use bumper cam or bonnet cam so when will you ever see the driver?) supplying silly little suits and helmets and even crazier is this forum wide obsession with Stigs suit. A lot of people need to grow up !
 
Meh the Gordon suit comes only in helmet suit combination, had hoped you can just wear the part you want to.

NO!!!!!!! They should be trade-able, just like RedBull X2010 cars lost their special meaning. Only the few and worthy should have those cars in their garage but sony decided that everyone could have them. Even those who did not deserved them and even didn't put enough effort to win them.

He should do it with a wheel tho. This way all the complainers who glitched VEttel will have something new to go on about. ;)

How about a race series vs all the real drivers in game (making them faster than normal AI drivers). You vs Loeb, Vettel and Gordon in a rally race, a Nascar race, and a X2010 race. You win all three races to unlock the Stig time trial (which is where you finally get the Stig suit).

This is old news..Pretty sure a thread like this was covered - waay back since the introduction of racing suits and helmets, as the video shows not just Stig's racing gear, but other famous peoples too. (Sebastian Vettel, Loeb, NASCAR drivers etc.)

It's just the question of whether they do release it or not.

Personally I'm not sure if they should as it'd take away the novelty.

Maybe PD should let us make our own, but that's a different topic altogether.

We've known that a Stig suit exists since E3 2010. You can see it clearly in the E3 trailer, and also in the TG Test Track Challenge Intro, plus the helmet/racesuit cutscene.

Who knows if it will ever be released? The JG suit seems like a good start, and I would expect that the Vettel, Loeb, and maybe a number of other drivers' suits will be released. But the Stig is a little bit different, so maybe not.
 
It should be a reward towards those who make top 3 in time-trail-event. ofc new winners every time. Or maybe a time trail, one-time-only on top-geartrack and the first 100-1000 get the suit.

But every time i say my opinion in collecting fashion I get tackled and piled by hundreds of 13 year olds telling me I'm stupid and boring and that everyone should get a suit so everyone can be Stig. :/

Will be a special, will be impossible.
 
I would rather it be a tough seasonal with a championship series that you must win for the Stig suit. Just doing the races individually should only grant the basic suit, helmet, or paint chip.

Besides, contrary to your notion, I would actually love to see an race composed entirely of Stigs. XD That would be glorious.

All we know is... they are ALL the Stigs. :sly:

If anyhthing, it should be an Expert Challenge Seasonal like we had with the Fiat, Lotus, and Subaru. My vote would be a bone stock TVR Speed 6 with Stig himself posting the time to beat. That would make it a real challenge and fun as hell too!

In all honesty, all I want is a challenge where we have to beat Vettel's time on F1 circuits with an RB7 which is only avaiable to use for that seasonal. The prize for beating all the races would be an RB7 and his suit.
