For me, this is the last GT game I buy. I don't have all day to play this game like some people, and with the new update they messed it up more...I would hope most of us have real lives and jobs and even kids and what not.
Who are they to say how I play the game in single player mode... duping is cheating duping is not cheating, really? Takes over 5 years to make and this is what we get? Oh, and I just ordered a wheel for it too. Return that and selling the game, nice knowing you PD. This franchise is doomed, There wont be another game until PS4.. and it's still gonna be crap...

Is anyone else done with this game too?..
 
Seeing as I'm only 15, I don't have a job or kids, so really, I have nothing better to do =P
 
As flawed as it may be, I'm still enjoying it. I really think they've gotten the driving just right, what I really want is more content and some fixes/refinements here and there so it doesn't feel like a beta.

bought gt1 2 days after its release, and in total have bought 7 gt titles.

still fuming at the bspec based signature edition comp.

robbed me of my money.

defo wont by buying another gt, will be giving a different series of race game a go next time

They? As in, PD? If it's them you're talking about, they're the ones in charge of the software you bought a license for in order to use it.

Anyways, my GT behaviour hasn't changed over the last few weeks. Doing a bit of hotlapping here and there for a few minutes a day. Not much, but it's still spinning inside my PS3.
 
Until they bring in features they say are coming, particulary matchmaking and GT Driver's Club for me, I'm barely playing this game. And when I do turn it on, it's just to rubber band grind so I can collect cars. I wouldn't be doing this if they gave more things to do.

right on man... I just hate the people that say "play it more". The game is fun but Im not gonna play it for months and years because you have to do the same stupid races over and over to grind for XP and credits. Don't have the time... just have no idea how they are still a company.

A) They're owned by Sony.
B) Not everyone misses the point of the game.

Meh... It's not like you'd need to finsih the game by april or anything. What's the rush?
Take it step by step and progress one bit at a time.
Dunno what's so ahrd about it. It's not like the game's going to give you a real life car if you manage to collect all ingame cars within six months after its release.

I have a job and fiance, etc, and still find time to play enough for me. I haven't really had to grind much at all either. I have picked up a different racing game that takes up more of my game time though. I only really use GT for solo time trials now, which is mostly what I expected to use it for when I bought it.

Legitimate question: Could someone please explain the actual problem, specifically. Are you "not enough time"-people wanting to "catch em all"? Are there really that many must have cars for you? I've got nearly 300 cars, so I haven't been penny pinching. My career has about 10million credits and next time I get on I'll probably get around to buying the 787B, but after that I can't think of too many super expensive cars I'd want to grind for. Am I the only non-completion obsessed person here?
 
Starting to burn out on it, mostly doing remote B spec just to say I got to lvl 40 and do the sparse seasonal events. Grinding ceased 2 weeks ago. I'm looking forward to some new games coming out like Shift 2 and NASCAR 11. That's about it.

As soon as Shift 2 comes out, I'm jumping ship. And don't answer the fan boys here, they'll say "bye bye", "more server space for me" or "Kaz is my girlfriend and everything he does is EPIC".

You're on a GT5 board, there's going to be smart people that will reply and fan boys with geek words like EPIC, LEET or whatever the words are.

If this doesn't get you pump up, then you're a pure fan boy.

Oh yeah, you can have my server space and your "2005" game, I'm in 2011.
 
I've been playing it very intensively for three months straight. This weekend, for the first time, I got the feeling that I've seen all there is to see in the game.

I've done every A-spec race a dozen times at least, including most of the endurances. I can't count how often I've done the Grand Valley 300, not to mention Like The Wind:Indy, Dream Car and Japanese Championship...

I've tuned enough. The difference between a Supra and an RX7 does not excite me enough to keep me entertained for weeks. I've collected the nicest cars (and actually drove them all to find my favorites for the various championships and enduros that I've grinded).

It was a good romp. Disappointingly shortlived, but very good nonetheless.

Last night I went back to GT4 and started a new career. That's going to keep me busy a lot longer than GT5 I'm afraid.

I hope GT6 won't take too long to make. Duke Nukem Forever took only twice as long to get to market than GT5... let's not make GT the new Duke Nukem franchise! :)

EDIT: That Need for Speed trailer looks freaking epic! Let's hope their car list is good and not too much JP/US biased.

If it's anything like the first one, I'm not getting it.
 
Of course I'm still playing. I love challenging my own ghost in Practise Mode.

But yeah, A-Spec is simply disappointing. Few events and boring plus crap AI.

All I do with GT5 anymore is my weekly wednesday race with my buddies, and online is absolutely terrible.

A-spec is too repetitive, B-spec is pointless....did I mention the online is reeally bad? Sure sure, it's MY (wired) connection.

Bring on Shift 2!

There is no way to tell how the game plays based on a video. How are the physics? No one (other than the devs) know. Until I play it, I can't be excited. The track/car list looks great, the graphics are pretty, if a little over processed looking, and they marketing people are saying all the right words.

I am interested, but I played the first and was not impressed, so I'm definitely going to wait and see.
