Thank you. I respect other people's perpectives of what good music is and what music is not. I prefer alternative-punk bands like Good Charlotte, but Ill listen to anything from Jay-Z to Slipknot. I don't understand why people don't like bands like Sum 41, why is this? Plase explain and dont just say "because they suck" Be descriptive.

Punk was officially declared dead when Henry Rollins started hosting TV shows on the learning channel.

This is gonna be their third. And besides, they do have somne unique stuff. I mean, not too many bands like them add in lead guitar parts like they do. Like in Pain for Pleasure. I know it's a joke song, but it's an example. Plus they have their own style of playing live, jumping like crazy. Not many bands i like jump like they do. They are not one of my faves, but I respect them.

Umm, they declare themselves as punk when they are just another MTV pop band. Their music is unimaginitive and caters only to people who listen to the radio and watch MTV.

Until somene good comes along that gets lots of play on MTV I am going to call every band that gets alot of play there crap.

I don't like Good Charlotte but Incubus is decent. They aren't punk though, and they don't call themselves punk.

I know they're not punk, but they are played a lot on MTV. I like their old stuff better. They're a very good band.

I wouldn't say they get a lot of play on MTV, but I don't watch it all that often. The only thing I see is Justin Timberlake / crappy rap. Oh and that Kelly Osbourne whore.

Justin Timberlake completely sucks di*k. I have NO respect for him. But, Incubus does get played alot, or used to at least, especially with "Warning."

i just watched Full Metal Challenge™ on TLC. Henry Rollins hosted it. it's an ok show, but punk is most certainly dead (finally!).

Cathy Rogers looks better with long hair.

'still waiting' is not a good song. it's just like all their music, sold out, distorted and manufactured to appeal to teenagers. sum 41 isn't good either. they really aren't punk...they may be pop punk. but that doesn't forgive them for making such bad music and advertising punk as such a stupid, shallow sold out ideal. they are just another gang of brainwashed zombie's on a fat mtv payroll whose music is being manufactured for the masses.

You obviously know nothing about punk music then. They are what I call Industry Punk. Bands such as Avril Lavigne, Sum 41, and Not By Choice fall under this category. They believe that sticking on the spiked bracelets, and dickies make em punk. Real punk, is Rancid, Operation Ivy, and The Misfits just to name a few.. these bands, they actually stand for what punk is. If you look at The Misfits, they've been around 25 years. They are basis for almost all punk.
