This is a thread series for the seasonal time trials that focuses on completing the challenges (i.e. beating the gold target times) with stock versions of the cars. This means that instead of maximizing your PP with upgrades and focusing on getting the fastest laps on the in-game leaderboard, you are attempting to complete the challenges with the bare minimum amount of 'car' and money-spent as is possible.

With the new more open ended format means that part of the challenge will be finding a stock car that has the lowest PP or lowest price depending on your view. It is also difficult to predict which types of tires a car will come with before purchasing.

Warning: Some of these challenges are getting to be extreme and should be approached with caution! :banghead:

In order to participate your car must be stock.

1) A stock car is essentially any car as it is when purchased from the dealership or won as a prize: it will have had no modifications, added parts, or adjustments done that affect how the car performs.
2) No oil changes are permitted: if you have had an oil change you must wait until the effects of the HP boost have been removed by driving over 300 km.
3) You must use the original tire type that came with the car, unless dirt or snow tires are required.
4) No changes to any “Car Settings” are permitted: they must ALL be left at their default values. [Note: cars that come with Fully Customizable Suspension that were purchased or won prior to patch 1.11 must have the suspension settings restored to default in order to be updated with the new stock suspension settings.]
5) No SRF or ASM is permitted: other “Driver Assists” are permitted.

Basically, the ONLY changes you may make to a car include: painting the car and changing a car’s racing number. Any other changes means your car is not stock.

Stock A-Spec Seasonals #6:

Beginner Level Non-Race Car Challenge: Twin Ring Motegi West Course - 500 PP - SH
Intermediate Level Non-Race Car Challenge: Trial Mountain - 550 PP - SM
Expert Level Non-Race Car Challenge: Tokyo R246 - 650 PP - SS

Special Note:

A few members are in the process of implementing a leaderboard of sorts where individuals will be able to input their info into a public document. This will come "soon". ;) For now you should start to consider using the following format and info for your entries:

PP - Total Time - Lap Time - Car - Tires - Drive - Power - Weight - Rabbit - Rabbit Total Time

Link to the GTP Stock Seasonal Spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...3veLfq0sXhvwiPYMUGw/edit?pli=1#gid=1662902344

Notes about the Spreadsheet:
Tabs will generally be ordered with the newest seasonal events at the left.
Gold times are ordered based first on PP (lowest PP at the top), and then total time.
Bronze and Silver times are ordered based solely on total time (fastest time at the top): these entries will be grayed out.
If you are comfortable with entering your info please do so.
Only create one entry per car for your best total time for that car.
To add an empty line: right click (PC) on a gray row number box and select add a row above or below.
If you make a mistake or change something you did not mean to change hit undo once or a few times.

I'm short on time today so I will get back to this in the evening. Good luck and have fun.

500PP at Twin Ring Motegi West:

454PP – 3:20.331 – 0:43.873 – Shelby GT350 ’65 – SH – FR – 304hp – 1270kg – Motor Sport Elise ’99 – 3:21.344

550PP at Trial Mountain:

536PP – 8:55.254 – 1:38.511 – Shelby Cobra 427 ’66 – SH – FR – 484hp – 1068kg – Scuderia ’07 – 8:55.564

650PP at Tokyo R246:

Had an easy win with the Nissan VGT, so I was disappointed and decided to challenge myself to the extreme on this one by proving the improbable.

It took me many attempts against many groups of cars but I eventually found a group which I could consistently beat with the FXX on SH. :D The top two rabbits were the Cerbera Speed 12 ’00 and the Enzo Ferrari ’02. I’m not sure why but most other groups I found required you to beat a total time of about 9:14.xxx, but this group required me to beat a total time of about 9:22.xxx. I tried it three times in a row to make sure and sure enough I was able to win with 9:21.117, 9:21.317, and 9:22.318. My first two victories were not dirty, but were not clean so I wanted a cleaner race and did so with the third. Funny thing is that last night I was getting 9:18s and made one 9:17.572, but still only ever made second place because of how fast the competition was. My theory about this group: the 1st place driver mistook my FXX for the Enzo Ferrari AI car so he didn't speed up. :P

629PP – 9:22.318 – 1:43.487 – Ferrari FXX ’07 – SH – MR – 788hp – 1155kg – Cerbera Speed 12 ’00 – 9:25.027. [Yes this was a 1st place vistory! :D]

Beginner and Intermediate levels won using a Tesla Motors Tesla Roadster '08 .. did not save any info so will probably redo them in the next few days along with some other cars. 👍

And I think again, just like the earlier Suzuka race, the expert level is going to be near impossible using any car with SH tyres. and of course the only cars that come stock with SS are all ineligible tuned cars and karts with the exception of the Nissan CONCEPT 2020 Vision Gran Turismo.

I'm liking this Hastatus. Being distinctly sub alien, I usually start off the seasonals with a few underdogs for, y'know, fun. I also find that a lot of cars lose their true character with excessive tweaking so count me in.

Motegi West - 3 minutes...
I was expecting a very easy race... but 3 minutes is over in a flash.

Grid

Boss 302 of E Herbert (Brazil), H.Salvador's Charger SRT8 (Colombia), B.Neal's Camaro SS (Singapore)

Need three goes at this, need to pass urgently - The AI are middle of the track so a firm pass on the outside exit of a corner or else a solid down the inside into a corner should be fine as the AI tend to avoid exit curbs and apexes.

Best - Race
Lap---.Time
44.2 - 3m24.8 (2nd)

Grid had Weber/Dean/Sanchis (SL65/LFA/SP1)

1m39.429 - 8m53.583 win by 0.5 over A Dean's Lexus

Great fun, the Alfa skips over crests and gets out of shape and does the same out of slower corners too. Too much car I had the lead by lap 3 - SO lots of extra PP room here.

(Just for laughs - this wasn't stock - but a worse than stock car.)

Hi. Any chance you could share the tune you used for the Nissan Concept to win the Expet Race? Thank you ver much!

In this stock competition you are not allowed to changed anything. Anyway the car wont allow you to change settings except BB, I believe in the actual seasonal I also left all as is. Perhaps a BB of 5-6 or 6-7 might help with braking turn in. If you want a little added HP for the real seasonal you could do an oil change, but after around 300km you lose HP so check now and then and change oil.
Read 1st post to see rules here for car setup.

Had time for a handful of runs. Will try some more when I have time later:

PP - Best Lap - Total Time - Car - Tires - Drive - BHP - Weight - Rabbit

Beginner - Motegi 500PP:
437 - 00:43.755 - 3:21.325 - Toyota FT-86 Concept '09 - SH - FR - 227 - 1000 - TVR V8S (started in 3rd behind a pair of Mercedes)
465 - 00:43.580 - 3:21.068 - Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track '13 - SH - FR - 343 - 1557 - Boss 302

Intermediate - Trial Mountain 550PP: (forgot to record total times)
512 - 01:39.337 - Lamborghini Miura Bertone Proto. '67 - SH - MR - 340 - 980 - 430 Scuderia
521 - 01:40.746 - Aston Martin V12 Vantage '10 - SH - FR - 509 - 1680 - Gallardo

The Miura just sort of glides around this track with hardly any effort. For some reason the engine sounds didn't play for me during the first 4 laps, which only added to the feeling that it wasn't really a race at all. I felt like I was just out for an afternoon cruise in the hills, casually passing the local traffic....

Took gold in the expert race on my 1st try with the Nissan VGT, but didn't record the time since I got tangled up with a Murcielago in one of the turns. Oddly, I found this race much easier in the Nissan than I did in some higher PP tuned cars. Very curious to see if anyone can find another stock vehicle that can tackle this race.

Not going to have a massive amount of time on the PS3 this weekend so I decided to take a leaf out of @Mt. Lynx's book and do all the challenges in one make:

500PP Beginner Non-Race Car Challenge
456PP : 03'16.238 : 00'42.781 : Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '07 : SH: FR : 308bhp : 1,480kg : RGT '00 : 03'16.854

550PP Intermediate Non-Race Car Challenge
433PP : 09'11.524 : 01'42.924 : Nissan SILVIA spec-R AERO (S15) '02 : SH: FR : 246bhp : 1,240kg : LFA '12 : 09'11.687
458PP : 09'04.8xx : 01'41.694 : Nissan SKYLINE Coupe 370GT Type SP '07 : SH : FR : 328bhp : 1,660 LFA '12 : 09'04.9xx

650PP Expert Non-Race Car Challenge
615PP : 09'14.971: 01'40.410 : Nissan CONCEPT 2020 : ???bhp : SS : 4WD : ???kg : McLaren F1 '94 : 09'15.667

The Intermediate battle in the Silvia was the most fun. It took three goes to do but I could see it was possible after the first try, that LFA is super quick on the straights so I did have to do some fairly aggressive blocking to keep him behind me but apart from that it wasn't too hard.

I originally bought the Silvia to do the beginner race but I just couldn't get the win there, I was within 3 seconds of first but couldn't reel him in...odd that I could win intermediate but not beginner with it?!?

I've updated the spreadsheet too 👍

This car should be 391PP 164bhp stock , you may have done oil change.💡

500PP at Twin Ring Motegi West:

NSX '91 (prize car) vs Tamora 3rd
490PP - Challenger R/T '70 (prize car) - SH - FR - 425bhp - 1724kg win time 3:14.766 best lap 42.298 vs tamora +2.034 sec , Motor Sport Elise '99 3.5 sec (AI is using the Elise , but it's not possible to enter the event using said car.)

550PP at Trial Mountain:
518PP X-Bow Street '12

433PP - NSX '91 (prize car) - CS - MR - 266bhp - 1365kg winning time 9:18.077 fastest lap 1:44.2 vs gallardo 0.096 sec behind. not clean , Gallardo PITT:ed me on lap4 and I returned the favor on last lap. I had taken lead on lap 3 at corner exit before T3. (might be re-running this)

650PP at Tokyo R246:
Enzo best lap 1:49.xxx
TK ZZII '00 best lap 1'47/46
Buick Special best lap 1:51.2 SS 542PP 576bhp 1364kg (comes with SS tyres , not a tuner car)
GT-R black edition '12 best lap 1:50.6
McLaren MP4-12C best lap 1:45.9xx

618PP - Pagani Huyara '11 - SH - MR - 718bhp - 1350kg best lap 1:44.245 winning time 9:24.714 vs Speed 12 1.262 sec behind.

Not sure who I was editing the spreadsheet with but it's hilarious to watch multiple people making edits :)

That was me , tried to ask you about the commands that make the docs rearrange the entrys.

Had a dash with several goes at the Trial Mountain Circuit event.

I wanted to run the same cars as the AI - but the Buick Special.... is not eligible... 750,000 kazula's wasted!

500pp - 442bhp - 049 torque - 1585kg - SH - FR - 1m39.429 - 8m53.983 - Alfa Romeo 8C Competitzione (sic)
482pp - 353bhp - 041 torque - 1382kg - SH - MR - 1m39.685 - 8m56.653 - Lotus Esprit V8 (2002)
460pp - 277bhp - 034 torque - 1330kg - SH - MR - 1m41.034 - 9m04.598 - Lotus Evora
546pp - 603bhp - 102 torque - 2028kg - SH - FR - 1m41.949 - 9m09.003 - SL65 AMG
450pp - 304bhp - 040 torque - 1500kg - SH - 4W - 1m42.130 - 9m08.908 - Skyline Vspec 1993
440pp - 276bhp - 039 torque - 1510kg - SH - FR - 1m43.370 - 9m14.977 - Fairlady 89 (With SH tyres)
440pp - 276bhp - 039 torque - 1510kg - CS - FR - 1m47.182 - 9m33.895 - Fairlady 89 (Stock)

The Fairlady was fun with Comfort tyres... had the "Alien ambient tyre moaning" which made the Ai cars go very slow. Very hard to hold the lead... the back straight I had several Scuds fly overhead. But they dither about in corners that if you know their line you can banzai your line and feel like a total hero...

The Skyline GTR Vspec stood out as the 450pp car... with very normal stats... almost 300bhp - 40 torques, 1500kg - very easy to use a benchmark. Car was nice, but 4 wheel drive cars feel a bit pushy at times... and this car has 20 points of free rear aero... that isn't cricket!

SL65 - The big bruiser for the German driver S.Weber which often starts on pole but just reverses to the back in my races... I gave the car a chance - Alabaster white - This car is a big chunky loon. Much more fun than I expected... but remember it is a big lump - so drop the anchor well before you sight land (Brake soon or else enjoy the impact.) The suspension is a laugh too. - - And its times compare well to the Nissan Skyline ... only 96pp's between them.

Evora - Light underpowered - but like a teenage older sister to the Elise (?!?) It shows promise, A bit more grunt and a little less muffin top and the car would be a real diva.

Esprit - Cracking car. fast sleek and ... pop up headlights!

another wasted car was the Amuse S2000 Street - - which was not eligible as well... I am not Amuse'd

Sorry about that, I didn't even realise there was a chat option in there?!? For future reference though you just click and select the rows you want to sort (4 through to whatever we're up to) and then select "Data" > "Sort range..." and then choose the column letter you want to sort by and whether you want ascending or descending 👍

EDIT: Spreadsheet updated

Not particularly difficult in this car. had won several times but this was best "Clean" race.

Used to hate this car, but since i figured out how to drive Mids and RR's, I have come to appreciate it's genius.

Do you update the spreadsheet, or do I?

This car should be 391PP 164bhp stock , you may have done oil change.💡

........Yes ty, looks like I must have done a previous oil change. Bit of a pain checking for oil change and which tires are stock on used cars. Sometimes I have even bought a new car just to check.
Just back from weekend
Intermediate Same car Roadster RS NC '07 , 391PP, 164 BHP, 1100KG 6.7 P/W .9:33.553 BL 1:46.849 . 1st end of 4th lap, then just holding on.

The PP at dealership is what the car has after buing too. (it used to be off by a lot in previous versions)

And I'm working on a list of GT6 cars stock - oil changed and maxed out power + customization options.
Been since 1.03 , so some of the data is out dated , mainly just PP changes. and all the new custom wings and now number plates. :banghead:

So , I have to re-check my data before I can publish it.
EDIT2: and paintable brake calipers.

EDIT: I've also got the data of stock tyre compound which the cars come with.

.

This site.... http://www.gtdata.net/ ....will tell what tires are stock on which cars, along with other useful details when you fill out the search criteria. But the PP values are slightly off, I think that's because it may not have had any recent info updates.

It's been helping me out too with my car choices, it's a very good resource.

How is getting used to wheel going ?

Alas, I still cannot go any faster than I do with the DS3 yet [still using the sticks for TT's]
My coordination is still well out with how much of the 900° is needed to turn quickly enough and having to use my feet at the same time [I don't drive] but I'm still having fun with it in the A-Spec events.

@nowcontrol , Forgot my DS3 a few weekends ago, went and bought a DFGT, different animal completely. No more snoozing even on the straights ! Only use it on weekends have probably done about 5 hours on it...the licenses and novice races. Spin outs, on faster tracks all the time. Think I should have got a 200 deg. instead. Anyway everyone says it comes with practice, good luck.. Much more tiring too.

Awesome site...added to my bookmarks bar 👍 It says it's crowd-sourced too so I suppose inaccuracies can be rectified if users were so inclined...whatever the case...truly awesome find 👍

Here are the 4 that have won with. All are from Intermediate race.

510PP- 8:44.650- 1:37.088- M4 Coupe- SH-FR- 425bhp- 1497kg

I love this seasonal!

441pp - 262bhp - 030 torque - 1280kg - SH - FR - 1m40.552 - 9m05.225 - RS-R RX7 (97) (Stock)
429pp - 248bhp - 048 torque - 1370kg - CS - FR - 1m49.431 - 9m43.539 - Corvette C2 (63) (Stock)
429pp - 248bhp - 048 torque - 1370kg - SH - FR - 1m46.307 - 9m28.488 - Corvette C2 (63) (Sport Hards - Not stock)
330pp - 112bhp - 017 torque - 1228kg - SH - FF - 1m52.033 -10m02.041 - New Beetle (Sport Hards)
330pp - 112bhp - 017 torque - 1228kg - CS - FF - 1m54.561 -10m12.537 - New Beetle (Comfort Softs)

Mazda RX7 RS-R - great car. Seems like its PP value is rather low. Can get unstuck at times if you push in to a corner too firmly and the back end will perform a smoky art job on the track - when it does step over the edge - it is a forgiving car which takes you into the "hairy moment" and then lets you drive away. It isn't very heavy and it is pretty fast so if you do thump a curb you can expect some up on two wheels style action.
4.88 on the power to weight ratio

Into the Comfort Zone... (440pp and below, maybe?)

Second generation Stingray - I did fit new wire spoke wheels which I painted ... whatever Gold is in Corvette land (Burnt Sand? - I expected Riverside Gold for some reason.)
5.52 on the power to weight score.
Different car. 3 ponderous gears and hard worked suspension which spools up the inside rear on the exit of a corner if you are a bit heavy footed, and it also overheats the inside front into corners if you carry too much speed into a corner - But on the plus side it does let the harder worked outside tyres alone to work to the best of their ability. Still curiously basic to drive.
Comfy Soft vs Sporty Hard.
I did them the wrong order... running Comfort Soft first then stepping up to the easier Sport Hards second to compare.

Marie Schrader's New Beetle
This is the worst car PP wise in my eligible carlist. I think it comes with Comfort Mediums as stock... Mine had Comfort Hards and Mediums... I ran Sports Hards - very easy and very flat in many corners once you find the line and hunt out the line of least resistance in the fast corners.
I then dropped to Comfort Hards - but could run pretty hot off the bat after the SH run.
A car you really have to maximise every corner and be smooth as a bottle of Schraderbrau pilsner. Front wheel drive takes most of the peril out of it.
