:) I decided to do a Comparo On the Lister Storm and the Falcon XR8.:)

:)Lister Storm V12 Racer:)
HP: 605hp/6000rpm
Torque:80.4/3500rpm
Weight:1438 KG
Power To Weight Ratio:2.376
Displacement:6996cc
Quarter Mile: 11.581
0-1000m: 20.529

:)Tickford falcon XR8:)
HP: 611hp/7500rpm
Torque:63.8/5500rpm
Weight: 1350 KG
Power To Weight Ratio: 2.209
Displacement: 5000cc
Quarter Mile: 11.752
0-1000m: 20.912

But how do they handle?

I've never driven either car. The Storm has never been a player in AI hands, and I don't believe I've ever come up against the Falcon... maybe once, late in amateur.

The Falcon looks way cool but I've heard it's nothing special to drive. That's a shame, because I really like the looks. The Storm might be nice looking but that lawn tractor paintjob has to go.

I guess you have to drive them on your own to really know.

I've driven them both. The Lister seems to have more of its weight planted over the rear wheels. Whereas the Tickford seems to have a loose rear that swings out fairly easily.

The Lister has alot more torque which is very noticeable at high speeds when the car doesnt stop accelerating.

BTW: The torque for each of those cars in ft-lbs is:

Lister: 80.4 Kg-M = 582 ft-lbs

Tickford: 63.8 Kg-M = 461 ft=lbs

I haven't driven either car for long periods but I am surprised by the stats as I thought the Falcon felt better and more nimble. That may be because I like cars that are slightly loose at the back.

I will need to drive them again.

The Lister is way too heavy in the game in my opinion, in real life it competes with vipers and race spec Speed 12's. In the game however the car just seems very heavy and understeery. The falcon on the other hand seems much quicker and has more neutural handling. I remember running some test laps with both cars to see which was faster stock and tuned. With the tickford I was around a second or so quicker around deep forest and midfield.

If only there was a way to give race cars weight reduction......... oh yeah there is! :trouble:

Actually I did get the weight down using MK's to around 1250kg (about the weight of a JGTC car, although it's probably a little heavyer). Although doing this made the car a tad tail happy.

But shhhh! you aren't meant to do such evil things like make all the non Japanese cars perfom *gasp* as well as the Japanese cars.
