Stormtrooper's Photomode Competition Month 1

Hello.

This is a photomode competition made by me, obviously. Each month, I have a thread for entries which the top 3-10 will be decided by the winner of the month, beginning with me. The poll is open 7 days before the month ends. Afterwards, and the winner chooses his/her car of choice and the next month's theme.

The Month 1 theme is...

Opener.

- Car can be anything.
- Location may be anywhere.
- The photo may not be edited using a tool(s) outside of GT5's photomode.
- Must mark entry with a red fonted "FINAL ENTRY".
- You may not vote for your own entry.
- Entry must be submitted before 12:00 AM April 23rd.
- Photo must be no larger than 500 pixels in each direction.
- Must list edits used for the photo or your photo will not be listed
- Winner chooses next week's theme (along with the rules for that month) and car of choice.
- If the next month's theme is not chosen before May 7th, the runner-up will decide the theme and rules.

Before creating your own competition, I leave you with some questions you should ask yourself with:

Does the competition I want to create already exists?
Is there a competition with the same type/format/rules?
Do I bring something new?
Does the community benefit from another competition?
Do other competitions benefit with my competition?
Is it worth it?
Will I have time to host it?
Do I really want to host one? Or do I just want people to look at me?


If the competition already exist or with the same type/format, there is no point in creating another one.

This is just Week 1's theme. It's not like the C.C.C.L competition. Plus, you get to choose your car given you win.

Other than the chosen car for the winner (which isn't actually unique, since I've been giving prizes out for a while in 2.0, and will be adding to PMC now that I'm essentially done the game), this really doesn't offer anything new that isn't already covered by our currently-running competitions.

Not trying to copy him or anything but I think that if somebody wants to try a different theme around the same time that the GTP competitions are going on, let them so. Besides, dabest's competition is over.

I'm interested to see how many entries this gets and how long you'll put up with doing all the work involved for the polls each week! Not to mention keeping track of people who are breaking the rules.

If this seems to be popular enough, I may continue it. If not, then I will cancel it.

@Moglet: I will keep track of this thread throughout every time possible. I will also add a rule about how people must state the things they used to edit the photo i.e. motion blur.

A theme change may also be needed if there are no entries before 7 PM EST tonight.

I think its just too much! We already have 5 competitions to compete in. So, you may get a few guys enter here, but barely get a good Top10 together.

Also, alot of guys want to compete in the other, bigger competitions (more challenging) and don't have the time to dance on every wedding!
At least, thats what me keep off to enter in this competition.


But I wish you many entries to choose from in the near future. The F40 should've been the perfect weapon of choice for a start here. 👍

But I have an other idea for a comp. I'm too busy to do it on my own, but if someone wants to......

here it is:

The winner of each week (you/me for the first week) posts a unedited picture with the link to its full size. The picture should be pretty neutral.
After the pic is posted, everyone (who wants to compete) download it and edit over it how they like it.
Everyone gets the same picture, but can edit it the way they like. No limits, nothing.
Then post it here like its usual done.

I would like to see how everyone edit the picture different. Should be an interesting competition. At least in my opinion!

What do you guys think of it? Anyone interested?

Good idea, but I think that i'll just leave this the way it is. Maybe i'll just have a comp for each month instead of each week.

I think each month is to long. If you think of it, to wait one month till you know if you make the poll or not, thats too long for the most guys. I'm pretty sure about that.
I myself wouldn't have the patience to wait so long.

2 weeks should work as max. (again, only my opinion )

Sounds a lot like the Photochop Challenge from a magazine I used to get...euroTuner maybe. I always liked the idea and entered once or twice.
