Appears Toro Rosso have found a loophole that allows them to effectively use the same chassis as their big brothers.

Spyker and Super Aguri wont be too pleased if it pulls off..

No, it will be legal in the beginning. Just wait. Halfway through 2007, the FIA will decide that the chassis will give Torro Rosso too much of an advantage. They will be forced to run with 2006's car.

I’m most interested in how it will work with the Ferrari and Renault engines in the same chassis.

When there was argument about which engine Red Bull Racing would be using I remember reading that the packaging of the engines was pretty much the same, but the Renault had better cooling requirements and a larger power band, so Newey wanted the Renault rather than the Ferrari, but he said it didn’t matter too much.

If it pulls off, wont that mean that Aguri can use the Honda chassis? They would be pleased about that.

No, I believe they are stating that the chassis was designed by a Red Bull company called Red Bull Technologies (which is not involved in the Concord Agreement), and not by Red Bull Racing (which has signed the Concord Agreement). So technically STR isn’t buying the chassis off RBR, but from Red Bull Technologies.

And I believe Super Aguri are doing a similar thing as the car is being designed by a third party, but I don’t know if they’re creating a new chassis, using the RA06, or using the RA07.

I think the original plan was to use this same technique to allow STR to use the RB2, I guess they figured out they could use the RB3 instead…

I can never understand the “fans” that make a post after every race saying that the race was boring. Why watch a sport you find boring?
