A few days ago i pitted my suped-up Dodge Laramie against the American Muscle car challenge on A-spec and was leading the race at one point but couldn't maintain the lead due to its relatively poor handling against the other MUCH smaller cars. nonetheless, it was great fun and managed to finish 5th.

So what similar "out of the ordinary" things have you guys done, either for the challenge or simply for the hell of it?
 
A fully-tuned Midget II on Comfort Tires can win the Trial Mountain race in the FR cup (250-300 hp opponents on SM) on Comfort Softs... but just barely.
 
Raced my stock Tesla Roadster at Laguna Seca in the American Muscle Car cup and came in fourth. Really good race. :-)
 
Doing la sarthe in mr champioship with a stock f40 using s1 tyres :P always a challenge u'll have a hard time keeping up with mclaren f1s.
 
Took my Tank Car to arcade mode. The game decides the ideal competition should be Veyrons, F1s, and Ciens.

So I drove the wrong way. Pretty fun. G.Ma and B.Ong never saw it coming.
 
Fully tuned Kubelwagon in the Schwarzland League B Race :) Won all the races in that ... Don't know if that is ridiculous or fun? You decide! :P
 
Get a street car that you can mount dirt or snow tires, and rally it. Who knows why some of these clearly street-intended cars can have dirt tires on them... In GT3 the Mustang Cobra R could have dirt tires mounted, what a handful!

I did that last night, with medium racing tires (it's hard to modify a Tesla beyond that, and Gran Turismo doesn't have a Zilla 2000 controller as an upgrade) and won first. I even went out of my way to do it again without playing dirty, either. I can consistently turn in faster lap times than all of the other cars.

The fact is that the American Muscle Car cup is filled with overly heavy cars with poor suspension. It's easy to beat them in the corners. The Daytona Infield course levels the playing field in their favour, but I still managed 2nd.
 
The tank car winning the PD cup race at trial mountain was a great moment for me...it wasn't my cleanest race!

Tank big air off the jump after the finish line's still my PS3 desktop :)

I've been thinking it would be fun to have a one-lap race of the Nurburgring (long course) in Kubelwagons!
