Hello there! Been getting pretty frustrated tonight doing some of the red bull challenges after having been away from the game for some time.
Finished the cart and junior series with some trial and error eventually, and moved up to the standard series. I figured it would be hard, since I'm average at best when it comes to GT games. After a few tries I figured it would be wise to switch to the automatic transmission so I could focus on driving rather than all the rapid gear changes at lower speeds.
That's when I started to notice a strange issue. Whenever the left or right d-pad button was held, like in a sharp turn, inputs to the accelerate button were ignored. I noticed this when I attempted to lift off, only to see my car continue to accelerate even with my finger completely off the accelerate button; The screen even showed as if I was holding the button down all the way with the light blue indicator in the bottom center. It only stopped accelerating when I let off the left or right d-pad buttons.
I guess all I wanted to know is, is this a bug? A limitation of the controller? Is there anything I can do to stop this from happening? The only car I have access to that I was able to replicate it with was the X2014 standard from the challenge, and only with the AT transmission. I was able to perform this trick fairly consistently with that car when I found out what was causing it though.
