Today my teammate showed me that cars bought from the OCD do not require breaking in period, my testing was done a long time ago with nascars to see if they all achieved the same bhp. Can anyone provide an explanation as to why this is the case and how they managed to do this without changing each and every piece of code for two identical cars, I can't understand how this was done.

EDIT: Also if anyone does know, can they tell me if it is the same with cars obtained through prize tickets.

Thanks in advance.

There will be a line of code with break-in value. For OCD cars this is set to whatever the value for "fully broken-in" is. No, prize/ticket cars are not pre-broken-in.

We could do this in GT3 with GT3gEdit and .ini files. It's not complex for the people who actually wrote the game.

Thanks mate, ain't done nothing like that in along time so it's all ancient history to me, never did anything to mess with games back then so never new that was in there.

mygt.net is not always accurate though. People put outright incorrect numbers in there.

For example there are premium R34's in there with like 809 hp. When 797 is the absolute max

Same thing with the GT5 community. people BS.

Uh.. I don't see any mention of mygt.net in this thread anywhere..

The OP asked about a master list of Max HP for cars in an earlier thread (about an hour before this thread). Someone pointed out that he should check out mygrantursimo.net, someone reading the boards would come to the conclusion that he's using the information from there in their research.

At one time all OCD cars had mileage on them so where broken in, PD then decided to take away the mileage but didnt take away the breakin so they are fully broken in with zero miles. They only need an oil change and turbo's exhaust etc, then there at there highest power output.

mygt.net has different power values from different people, possibly becuase of the mileage covered, some maybe not broken in and otheres maybe high mileage and losing bhp.
