I got the inspiration for this thread from talking to a buddy of mine on MSN. He was eating a ham, pickle and peanut butter sandwich. He absolutely loves it. That got me thinking. I actually like the taste of powdered milk, not mixed with water, just powdered milk. My brother likes puffed wheat with mustard on it  . Most people I know like some sort of weird food.

So what are some weird foods that you enjoy?

a turkey sandwish with bilberrie jam (sp?)
absolutely delicious

I use to put little bits of mash potato and ketchup into thse crisps when I ws little. Yum!

I can't remember one, but there was a similar one called "Bachelor Brunch" that had concoctions similar to this.

My favorite oddball (and it's not all that odd from what I've found out) is putting potato chips in in my tuna sandwich.

The other really odd one is (when I was young and my family was quite poor) is Peanut Butter, mustard and Mayonnaise sandwiches. Add chips and it's on white bread (the wheat nixes the taste).

Excellent.

Da, the first one, as you say doesn't feel that odd, in fact rather tasty. But the second one.. burr..

I don't have anything odd to share, I'm quite general in my tastes but when I was a kid I had a long period when I wouldn't eat anything if it didn't have hard cheese on it. Porridge, meatballs, fish, you name it. I went crazy if it didn't have cheese on it. (which I reffered to as "aomne")

My roomie is American. The sandwiches he makes are sometimes great, but most often they're gross to me. There is always mayo on them. Tuna. Ham. Pickles. Whatever! Everything he finds in the kitchen goes into those sandwiches. *shivers* I think Americans are very particular about their sandwiches.

A sandwhich is anything you want it to be, dunno about sweden but in america is basically any form of bread meat vegetables and/or dairy, oh, and condoments.

I used to eat peanutbutter and dill pickle sandwiches...they rocked...also substituted pickle with apple or onion, or sometimes even spicy pickled veggies...

I haven't eaten them since i've been married for some reason though..*sighs*

That, is a Durian, a fruit that smells so bad that they're not allowed in aeroplanes and hotels.

Deep fried Mars bars, you cover a Mars bar in batter and you fry it, the mars remains unburt if you do it right. It's wierd to most of the world but not so much to Northeners.

That sounds pretty tasty. Should fit very well with some vanilla icecream.

How about this :D

HELL YEAH!

Durian Shake - one of the best thing ever created.

For some reason - I don't think Durian smells that bad. It's probably because I have gotten used to it. It does stink at times - I know I wouldn't put it in my car (if I had one...).

Love Durian.

I tend to put hotsauce in almost everything. And I mean soup, rice, anything. I stop the line at cereal though. There is a special hot sauce too - it has a logo of a rooster.

Isn't that like the ultimate in how to get a heart attack?
Proably, but it's very nice, up until the heart attack that is.

we get plenty of those here. And when its in season, we'll go back to grandpa's place and get a load back giving our car durian 'air freshener' :)

I used to know someone who liked Cream soda with milk, apparently it was amazingly good.

Another fine Scottish invention :)

One thing I like to make (not exactly strange, but I've not heard of anyone else doing it), is a bagel/ham/waffle sandwich. Get two waffles and two bagels (split, obviously) and toast them (you'll probably have to put the waffles on before the bagels, depending on the grill). Once they're cooked, put on half bagel on a plate, then stick on a piece of cold meat (I like ham, but anything else would do, I suppose), then put a waffle on top and add a layer of sauce (tomato sauce for me). Cover with another slice of ham and the other half of the bagel.

I used to put french fries in my hamburgers. I haven't eaten a hamburger in a long time though, so I dunno if it's something I'd still do.

And Durian chips are the greatest things on the face of the Earth. Who ever imagined chips that could be so creamy? :D

As I've documented elsewhere, I've had lobster taquitos with a mango and peach salsa topping a salad. Best meal ever.

On a more day-to-day basis, I tend to eat a lot of things alone. For example, if I get a carbohydrate craving, I'll usually eat a tortilla. Yesterday I ate a slice of Swiss cheese – nothing on or with it or anything, just a slice of Swiss cheese. And I love eating sliced deli meats by themselves.

Love doing that. 👍 I eat cheese and salami all the time. :D

I used to do fries in the burger thing, too. Here's some, semi-weird one's I like:

I put tabasco on my popcorn.

Potato chips on bowl of rice(sometimes with seachicket/tuna, instead of chips).

Potato chips in cup noodles.

Rice in soups.

One I really want to try is a tempura icecream. It's deep fried, and I see it on menu sometimes in Japanese restaurants.
