Strange line across screen after update?

I have noticed since the latest update I now get this strange line roll up the screen on some of the races (random) its sort of like the two halves of the screen are slightly out of sink (above and below the line) its now starting to annoy me

the line starts about a 3rd of the way up the screen and rolls to the top and disappears, its only very faint but annoying none the less.

Anybody else get this? I never had it before the update.

Reducing screen resolution to 720p in PS3 video settings might help the tearing.

But Ive got a full 1080 Plasma TV , should I still set the PS3 to 720? like I say i don't get this with any other racing games like F1 2010 or Dirt 2 etc? not any and between me and my boy we have over 20 racing titles lol

Try it and see, it won't do any harm. It depends how much the tearing bothers you, really.

But what with GT5 being blue ray and full HD switching to 720 is defeating the point of it being blue ray is it not?
