Yeah, but you guys don't have a government that shafts you several times over for every gallon of fuel you buy... hence why we're not all rollin' around in 3.5L motors. :scared:

Too right!! It's crazy. I went down from my 4.2 V8 Audi to a 3 series BM cos the fuel is just mad. Cost about £140+ to fill the A8 and that'd perhaps give me 250miles.

Don't I know it! Not fair! Growing up for me it was cool when my dad got a Ford Cortina with a 2.8 V6!! That'd barely do a starter motor for most American V8's!!!
A family friend did (still does I think) have a proper Shelby 427 cobra. Proper car!
Most of what I deal with are modern petrol and diesel 4 pots, mind you, I've had Audi S3 engine (2.0T petrol) to close to 500hp and used to time alot of the old Audi 5 cyl turbos. Crazy power but still only 2.2 litre. I do love a big thumpy V8 but they're rare here. I had a few Audi A8 V8's but that's about as big as we get generally!

Hey don't knock the diesel's

I drive an 07 Silverado with a 6.6 Duramax turbo. Love me some diesel!

Mate, Im all for a good diesel! One of my A8's was a V8 twin turbo diesel and went like poo of a shovel!
I LOVE watching you tube vids of people drag racing your huge pick ups with those 6.5litre + diesels. And is the cummins power stroke? .... I've done alot on plant machinery with huge diesels but not many pick ups!

LMAO!

Chevrolet - Duramax - 6.6

Dodge - Cummins - 6.7

Ford - Powerstroke 6.7 (this ones for city folk)

They put all different sizes of diesels in the trucks over the years tho. Most notable was Fords 7.3 which was basically a bus engine and could pull down a house.

It would suck to live somewhere that doesn't even give you the choice tho. I know i would get sick of driving tiny cars after awhile.

Ah! That's it, Ford power stroke! It's for city folk! LoL wasn't it adapted from a school bus engine...

Ah, not fair.... I want a Chevy 6.6! We have Chevys over here now ya know! You'd have a dicky fit (that's a bad thing) if you saw them though!
Google Chevy Matiz! The advertising tag line is "above all, it's a Chevy".... But no, no it is not!!
We did have a Caddy sold here once too... It was the STS. Front wheel drive and looked like an AirFix model of a real American car!

Chevy Camaro ZL1- 6.2L
Chevy Corvette Z06- 7.0L
1971 Chevy Chevelle with 454- 7.4L

These are real Chevy's lol. I seen all 3 in my life and rode in two (ZL1 and 71 Chevelle).

The 427 is probably the greatest engine ever made. imo

The one in the Z06 is 427CI but its not the same as the 427's in the muscle cars. As its fuel injected (Why its a LS motor), and its on the LS line...

I'm just talking about the 427 block in general. If i was going to build a car it would be with a 427 LSX.

Mmm.... 427. That cobra was the scariest thing ever!
So much torque!

I feel I have led us off topic a little but I've enjoyed this!

That Matiz from "Chevy" over here was a Daewoo before. They started selling re badged 1990's Vauxhalls but then some genius thought it a good marketing move to ruin the Chevy name by glueing its badges onto crappy pretend cars made from moistened cardboard once all the knackered old Vauxhall Astra parts had run out! LoL it hasn't worked!

Only time we really get American cars here is when they're Lincoln Town cars that have been stretched to 300ft long, painted blood-tarnished vomit pink and filled with 15 drunken 40year old sex starved hideous women hanging out of the windows, spilling cheap champagne and shouting at the small boys delivering pizzas in town centres! Waste of a V8 car! Even if it is "only" a 5.0 poverty-spec one!

I may come across a little bitter and nasty, Im really not ya know! Lol

So much torque. Lol. 462 lbs of torque. The Chevelle has 540. And the new gt500 has 600ish pounds of torque.

I'm done here. Time to get back on topic. Sorry for going off topic.

The GT500 is charged so i don't know why you even brought that up.

Also i guarantee you 462lbs feels a hell of a lot more in a Cobra then 540 does in a Chevelle.
