Hey all,

Very long time member, 1st actual post here on the forums. I suppose I have a few questions kinda all together, so bare with me.

Been playing GT 5 since it came out. Took a long break from the game because sometimes life is more important. I am back now, and with all the updates and crazy things going on I must say, I like the game much better now.

So, I am currently about to reach level 26. I have played only a handful of times on-line, the majority (99 percent) of my experence is off line, doing the events in A-Spec.

I have gold in all the events up to the extreme series, where I still have to do the Dream Car, Like the Wind, Nascar and maybe another one or 2 series in the pro category, like the vintage races.

My questions are what do I do now? What cars should I buy? I have all the cars you can win from the various races I have won. I also have every chrome and stealth car. So, I need to know what cars I need to buy and what races on or off line to go for.

To clarify, I have NO actual race cars. I do have cars like the Mclaren F-1, ZO6 Race Modified. Those are probaly the 2 best cars I have, and the Amuse S-2000. Any thoughts or tips would be great. Sorry for the long winded post!

Hey Vinnie..There are a couple of things you could focus on. Go ahead and do all of the seasonal races. You will have to get a full array of cars to do so and make some serious credits that will enable you to buy anything you want for the most part. Another thing that I would do is try to Silver and or Gold all of your license's and Special Events...Its harder than it may appear and it will make you a better driver.

Lastly, consider joining the GTP_WRS. Online rookie tutorials, inventive time trials and well organized on line races are just a few of the benefits of that group.

Thats my two cents...

Thanks for the info Crozz. I haven't jumped into the online race scene yet, but I think I may try soon. I would rate my driving ability around medium. I would probaly be interested in a rookie type crowd to start racing with. is the GTP_WRS a group geared to just having fun and getting better as a driver? I ask this because I have read all the bad threads about joining the wrong rooms online etc. I just want to have fun, race clean and maybe make a few new on line buds as well.

To make the rest of the A-spec events fun (before or after doing the seasonals as Crozzlow suggested), try and match the mid-to-back of the pack cars and race with them on appropriate tires. If you're already doing this, drop a few PP.

The NASCAR championship; to make it challenging, turn off all the aids that aren't already off including ABS and don't allow your HP increase by using the power limiter (849 hp iirc).

When you start the endurance races; try and do the first 5 in one sitting (per race, not all of them ) with the least car possible. Check out the Race Reports section and you'll find lots of ideas on "how low can you go", especially for the 4 hour Nurburgring race.

Actually ABS cannot be switched off on NASCAR now. ASM is locked on and ABS is locked at a minimum of 1.

I'm not good enough to start chopping PP off my cars yet. I am having a hard enough time in some races the way it is. I am using the race modified ZO6 right now, and have won all the American series of races. Going to see how it does in "Like the Wind" later tonight. Whats with the Tank Car? I just won it and it seems useless. I can't sell it and its as slow as...well, a tank.
