i was thinking about your post while doing today's one make. the only thing i can think is that with the street cars you have to know how to pitch the weight around to the right spot before you take the turn and then you have to commit 100% to the turn. most of the race cars you can turn directly into your turns but with the street cars you have to toss them around.

Hmm yeah okay but compared to racecars its to hard! In mean never i GT games i had these problems......

I just want to hotlap the Schleife with the RS but i cant because i just dont get the feeling with these cars. Something i never had in a GT game....... i dont know what it is.

I had a similar experience with roadcars, the weight transfer takes some time getting used to, but once you’ve got a hang of it, it’s pretty satisfying to throw them around :)

None of the streetcars have racing suspension so they're all over the place

Put some racing tires on them and they fly around the track, despite lacking racing suspension.

The problem is to much of a gap on the grip of street tires and racing tires.

Looks like PD took on the tires of Gran Turismo 4 (using the names of GT4), they threw away the Sports Tires, so the cars have only the Standard Tires or Racing Tires. To be honest, the Sports Tires (kinda track day treaded tires) should be on the game and used when racing street legal cars.

1.06 is downloaded and I’ll be trying some street cars later on tonight. Pre patch they are quite difficult to drive, no downforce, street tyres and non-racing suspension all contribute I suppose but I will certainly welcome any increase in grip if that is part of the update.

be sure to post your impressions :)

I think the stock settings on the suspension are a bit to blame as well. I read in the tuning forum that uping the ARB to around 8front and 7rear, and having -2.0ish front/rear camber helps. I tried it and it smoothed them out a ton. Also reduce the toe to 0.0 front and rear. From there you can make small adjustments to your taste.

If you want the back end out then upping the rear arb will help, if you want it stable keep the back arb low.
