Street Elite - Chapter 9 - New Beginnings - (26/7/11)

About: Street Elite is a story about a 19 Year old boy named Ryou who has an obsession for Kei Cars. He one day gets a call from his friend about finding Ryou's favorite Kei Car, a Daihatsu MIRA. The young boy then goes through many challenges and difficult tasks as he tries to get the reputation as "Street Elite".

Note: Even if you hate the Daihatsu MIRA, stay tuned for chapter 2. You'll see what this car can really do in the series 👍 Also, sorry it's so short, just a start off to get the hang of this.




Chapter 1

Kyoto-Gion, April 12th, 9:23 PM

*Ring Ring Ring* *Ring Ring Ring*

*Ryou picks up the phone*

"Hello?

"Hello, Ryou." Said his friend, Kenshin.

"Oh Kenshin, it’s you. It’s been awhile"

"Yes, it has. You know your interest in Kei Cars?"

"Of course. They're the only cars I'll ever drive"

"Well, I know how you’ve been looking for a Daihatsu MIRA. I was in my Levin driving around Osaka when I saw…."

"You’re in Osaka? Why are you there?"

"You didn’t even let me finish. . . Anyways, what I was saying is that I passed by a Junkyard and saw a Daihatsu MIRA. Oh and, to answer your question, I’m in Osaka because of a situation.

"Nice, I’ll be right there" *Hangs Up*

*Sighs* "He really loves that car. Good old Ryou."

"Aiko, please stay here and don’t leave. I’m going to Osaka, and it’s pretty far."

"Okay" Said Aiko, Ryou's 16 year old sister

*House door opens, and then shuts

*Car starts*

"Tires screech*

*Car door opens*

"I’m here"

"Ah. You finally came here. That AZ1 is so slow.

"So, where’s that Daihatsu MIRA you were telling me about? "

"Right there" Said Kenshin pointing to the left.

"No way you bought it already!"

"Yes, I guess as a really early birthday present for you since your Birthday is November 19th and It’s April 12th."

"Do you mind calling a tow truck so they can tow it to my house. It’s basically broken anyway."

"I already called them. They should be here soon."

"Okay. I guess I’ll head back home. I can’t leave Aiko all alone"

"Oh, don’t go yet."

"Why?"

"I want to show you what I did to my Levin. I tuned it up to 271 HP and it flies. It’s faster than a tuned AE86 Sprinter Trueno!"

"Fine, but one quick ride on the freeway."

"Okay. Prepare to see something you’ll never beat, Ryou."

*Car doors open*

*Engine starts

"This thing sure is faster alright."

"Yeah, I added everything I could pay for."

"I bet you my MIRA will be able to beat this."

"Haha, I doubt it. I know Kei cars can get fast, but a car that’s under 207 HP beating my 271 HP Levin. That’s a bunch of crap!"

"We’ll see. (Your Levin may be fast, but it has a weak point. It’s heavier)"

"This baby is fast! I’m positive not even an RX7 can beat this!"

"Possibly..."

*Rotary Engine*

"Hey what’s that Black car behind us?"

"Damn, that’s Katsurou Kato!"

"Katsurou Kato?! Who is that?"

"He’s a famous racer, duh."

"Damn, I haven’t practiced yet on Osaka! Good thing you’re driving, huh?"

"Yeah, I guess. . ."

"Stop being so emo and step on the gas!"

*Car speeds up a bit*

"It’s no use, that guy in the RX7 just keeps catching up. . ."

"He’s going to pass us! Step on it!"

"I am. . ."

"It’s no use now; he’s already in our blind spot."

"Not if I can help it. Now I’m destined to win this race!"

*Engine accelerating*

"See! You weren’t stepping on the gas!"

"Here I go! Time for late braking!"

*Tires of the FD screech*

(One-and-a-half seconds later)

Tires of the Levin screech

"Haha! Take that. Late braking!"

"Ryou, uhh."

"No I’m about to hit the wall!"

*Levin brakes more*

It’s no use! Maybe we should jump out and ask Katsurou Kato for a ride home."

"That’s retarded! He wouldn’t do that!"

"NOOO!"

*Levin hits and grinds the barrier*

"Damn it!"

*Car door opens*

*Kenshin runs out quickly*

"My Levin! Ryou, you ruined my beautiful car!"

"You told me to step on it… To win too…

*Telephone rings*

"Hold on for a second… Hello?..... Ah. See you there, bye… That’s Aiko. I better head back home."

*Tears begin to fill Kenshin's eyes

*Door of AZ-1 opens*

*Car drives away*

"He's just standing there looking at his Levin. I’m sorry I ruined it, but it’s too late now…"

Kyoto-Gion

*House door opens*

"Aiko I’m back!"

*Silence*

"Aiko?! Meh, she must be asleep."

*Opens house door and sees his new MIRA*

"What a beautiful car."

*Opens door*

"Aiko! What are you doing in my new car!"

"Well, I saw it get dropped off here by a tow truck, and wanted to check it out."

": Ah, well you know my AZ-1 you love?"

"Yes."

"It’s yours. This MIRA is mine now."

"Really! Thanks! Now that I have a license I can drive it!"

"Yep, it’s all yours. Now go get some sleep."

*House door opens and shuts*

"Well MIRA, it looks like I have a lot of work to do on you. But I’ll do it!"



The young boy will overcome new challenges as his journey continues. . .

So, what do you people think? Is it good? Or should I keep the storyline and replace with a car like the MR2 G-Limited?

Haha, I have never seen that story. It's sort of like that, the MIRA is fast, but not as dangerous as that van

One thing I would definately recommend is to change Ryou's color from that highly bright blue to something easier to read.
You can use bright colors, but I'd only do it for minor characters that you don't meet in every chapter.

Keep it up though, this could be great! 👍

Thanks for the info. Chapter 2 will make this better. I've started on it already. You could expect an earlier release than next Sunday

Chapter 2- Resurrection of The Devil

April 15th, 8:12 AM

All day and night, Ryou worked on fixing his new car. He knew it would take him awhile…

Day one of the rebuild…

"This will be a lot of work."

Ryou knew this wouldn’t be easy either. He had never rebuilt a car before. So, he went on the web and did a lot of reading, he even bought books on how to rebuild Kei cars. Wasting all his money on the parts he needed, he was destined to rebuild the chassis and everything else damaged.

"First up, remove the body from the chassis frame by disassembling the body."

Ryou did exactly what it said. He got his tools and began to disassemble the body. The chassis was major in damage. So, he then read the book again.

"Step 2, remove the Engine and Transmission, and strip the chassis down to its frame."

He took out the Engine which was also really dirty, and the transmission, which looked fine. He decided to overhaul the Engine later, and set it down on the floor. He then continued his work on the chassis

"Okay, next. Prepare to handle the needed chemicals. Then dip each frame in it"
Ryou followed it very carefully dipping each frame in the chemical to clean the grime and rust. Looking back at his book, he read the next step.

"Now that it’s clean, get the welding tool and begin to weld away the chassis’ damaged parts."

He took off all the damaged parts and began the schematics to make sure he got the right size parts. He did, and he was lucky because he thought they wouldn’t fit.

"Okay, now I weld in the new parts.

He welded in the new parts perfectly and he then read the book again, this time to coat the chassis with powder, giving it a longer life. After coating it, he cleaned out the holes and everything, put back in the transmission, and then went to bed for the night.

Day two of the rebuild…

"Okay, now it’s time to overhaul the engine.

Disassembling the engine carefully, he cleaned every part and re-assembled the engine accurately.

"Huh? This isn’t a regular MIRA engine. This is strange…"
He then put the engine back in the chassis and re-assembled the body, this time replacing the broken body parts with the new body parts.

"There, I’m finally done. Now it’s time for a little test drive when it gets to night."

Ryou then decided to head out to SSR7 , their local street racing track, when it gets to night.

While waiting, Ryou watched racing, and read how to street race online. It was then time to go.

SSR7

"Okay I’m here, now time to call over Kenshin."

*Dials number*

"Hey Kenshin, it’s me Ryou."

"What do you want?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to tell you I fixed my new MIRA, I’m taking it for a test drive."

"Yeah, are you going to wreck that too?"

"What are you talk… Oh yeah. Listen, I’m sorry about your Levin, I didn’t know what to do."

"Meh. The Auto Repair shop, Autopair ©, rebuilt it, but it cost some money."

"At least you still have money, I wasted all my money on rebuilding my MIRA. Anyway, you need to come check this out; this isn’t even a regular MIRA engine!"

"All right, I’ll be over there as soon as possible."

40 Minutes later…

"Dang, where is he?"

*Tires screech*

*Door opens*

"I’m here"

Finally, what took you so long to get here? What? Did you meet a girl on the way?

No, but I wish.

"Then what took you so long?"

"I got us Sushi. I was hungry and wanted Sushi, and since I was on my way here, I thought I’d get some for the both of us."

"Ah. Is it Sushi from the restaurant Japanese-Sushi©?"

"Yes. Now let’s eat, and then we’ll test drive your car."

Kenshin had pulled out a foldable table from the trunk and some foldable chairs. He got the food out and put it on the table.

"It does look good. I’m very hungry, so maybe it was worth waiting."

"So, what about the MIRA did you tell me?"

"It doesn’t have a regular engine. I looked in there, and saw a MIRA engine, with like 3 Turbines."

"Eh? You must be lying."

"I’m not, I looked it up"

"Hello? Kenshin?"

"Huh? Oh. Yeah, this seems strange."

"Okay, let’s try it out now."

*Both doors open*

*Engine starts

"Let’s get going."

"Take it easy, okay?"

"Hell no! I’ll go all out."

"Cool! (Oh boy! )"

"What the?! This thing is fast. A car with 202 BHP, what a lie!"

"No, it really has 202 BHP."

"This thing must be a Blue Devil!"

"Blue Devil?"

"You see, a few years back people used to love tuning cars more than they do now. So this one guy got 3 cars. A Mazda RX7 FC3S, a Mitsubishi Evo, and a Daihatsu MIRA Avanzato R and tuned them as much as he could. He painted them all Blue and came up with the line “The Blue Devil’s”. His prized possession was the ight Blue MIRA. I didn’t know why until now. This MIRA only has 202 HP, but it’s going faster than 202 HP can reach."

"This MIRA really is something. How did it end up in the junkyard?"

"Well, the police were chasing after him before, hitting it against the wall and everything, and they caught him. They took him to jail and sent his MIRA to the junkyard to get crushed. But there are rumors saying the guy that was supposed to crush it, hid it in his garage, he would rather have it damaged than crushed."

"Ah, I would do the same, hiding it."

"How fast are we going?"

172 MPH (276 KPH)

Huh?! That's insane!

*Engine echo*

"Huh?"

*Echo gets louder*

"What is a Skyline Coupe doing here?"

"Today isn’t street racing night! I don’t know who this guy is."

"It looks like he wants to race. Shall we pull over?

I guess.

*Both cars pull over on the shoulder*

"Hello, I’m Daiki Akatsuka. I’m a street racer. I know you are too."

"Uhh, he’s not reall…"

*Hits Kenshin*

"Not really new! I’m used to street racing."

"Well I want to race you. Come on, just one lap."

Fine. Let’s get this started!

They line up at the starting line and they wait until Midnight. While waiting for 3 minutes they got ready, and listened to their favorite music.

When the clock struck 12:00, it was time to get started. Kenshin began to count down.

"5…4….3…..2….1, GO!"

The Skyline accelerated away from the starting line pretty quick.

"Oh, I hope Ryou doesn’t crash."

"I won’t lose"

"That car has slow acceleration, you’ll lose for sure!"

"Now! My MIRA will speed up!"

"Damn, it’s getting faster!"

"You can’t beat this power, the Blue Devil MIRA!

"There’s no doubting, that’s the Blue Devil MIRA!"

"Faster Skyline!"

"This is where better acceleration will dominate" Daiki chuckled a bit "Let's show him Skyline!"

"Huh? He’s catching up! That MIRA is fast going down!"

"Lightness will win this battle!"

"We’re going back to the original level, will my Skyline pull away? . . . No?!"

"Don’t underestimate my car, and I!"

"What?! He’s passing! Not if I can help it!"

Daiki swerved to the left and was beginning to swerve back to the right to
ram Ryou.

"He’s trying to ram me!"

Ryou slowed down to avoid it, and Daiki quickly served to the left a little to avoid the barrier and block Ryou’s MIRA.

"Take that."

"We’re getting closer to the tunnel, that will be where I do my attack!"

"How are you going to pass me now, Haha!"

1 and a half minutes later. . .

"Just wait like 30 more seconds!"

"The turnaround will come soon, and that’s where I’ll pull away."

"Now!"

"What the hell is he doing?! I’ll try to ram him again!"


This time Ryou was too focused on the road and Daiki hit Ryou’s MIRA.

"Bastard! You damaged my MIRA that I just fixed. That’s it, you’ll get what you deserve now!"

"The turnaround is near, I’ll pull away and win!"

"Wait the turnaround, I’ll attack there!"

"Now!"

Daiki did late braking perfectly and began to pull away. Ryou’s MIRA broke later, and because of it’s nimbleness he stayed on the inside and over took.

"Huh?!"

"Stupid lightness of the MIRA."

"I told you don’t mess with my MIRA..."

"I’ll ram him again!"

But this time Ryou was too fast, and Daiki accidentally steered the wrong way, causing him to hit the wall.

"Skyline!"

Daiki then stops his Skyline and gets out quickly.

"My prized possession, ruined! I’ll get you sometime, Ryou Tatsuya! That’s right, I’ll be back!"

At the starting line

A crowd had already gotten at the starting line, waiting for an answer.

"The Skyline has stopped, Ryou has won!"

"Whooooo!" Said the crowd

Everyone was excited seeing a Blue Devil come back, and with a great driver.

"Haha, Ryou, you’re on your way to becoming famous. . ."

Ryou went out and got his car repaired with the money Daiki promised. He then headed back home to get some rest.

Kyoto - Gion

"Aiko?"

"Haha, Aiko…"

Ryou went to sleep tired after the race, it was then as he lies down, he realizes winning this race was great…

Next morning

Kyoto – Shoren-in

"Huh? I fell asleep here?! I better get back home fast!"


*Engine starts*

"I’m coming, Ryou!"

Kyoto – Gion

"Ryou!"

"Ah, there you are Aiko. Where were you?"

"I was at Shoren-in but I fell asleep in my new car."

"Ah. Why don’t you come on in? I made breakfast"

"What makes you so happy?"

"It’s a long story… Why don’t you come in? I’ll tell you it."

"Okay."

The young street racer’s journey will continue throughout day and night. . .

Pretty good story so far.
One thing minor I'd like to recommend which is not that important really is that you said Nissan Skyline Coupe 370GT Type SP.
Just call it a Skyline. I can't really imagine someone saying: Hey look a Skyline Coupe 370GP Type SP.
