yea..800 hp in a Import can get it to run 8's....800hp in most cars can get you 10's a best. (even the hennesey 800TT Viper can only do 10.1)

true....It looks like GM is going to make eco-tec crate motors for the cavaliers, sunfires (j-body platform). GM has already built an 800 hp echo-tec inline 4.

Well in 1983 BMW made a 1280+ Din/HP 1.5 liter I4 for the Brabham BMW BT52 Formula 1 racer. The car was designed by Gordon Murry, and the engine was designed by Paul Rosche. The same 2 people that made the McLaren F1 in 1994. I read an article about the BT52, BMW M group repaired their engine dyno 3 times when testing the engine. Their Dyno only went up to 1280 Din/HP.
