If you have a rapid fire PS3 controller(or rapid fire modded controller) you can strobe your headlights by holding R1 with rapid fire mode on.

Common sense, right?

This does not work with every car.
This only works with some/most premium cars.

If you strobe your headlights while drifting you gain +1000 imaginary cool-points.

(You can also just mash the R1 button a bunch of times to get the same effect if you don't have a rapid fire PS3 controller.)

Super GT cars and the Peugeot 908 (Probably the Audi R10 is the same) have Strobe headlights anyway.

:) if i saw you driving behind me with your "strobe" headlights,

id think

a-youre retarded
b-youre having a spaz attack
c-maybe hes in labor
d-youre retarded

Completly pointless. I am not overly worried about who is coming up behind me when i am racing as I am more concerned about impoving my lap times and reducing the chance of them catching me. If they do want to overtake then they are going to have to do it offline as i hold mine.

They're for braking up the light in rain/night driving, so that headlights behind you don't just become a blur, and you know they're trying to overtake, or asking you to move out the way so you don't hit them, it's not because they look cool, they're there as a functional process.

They definitely make you look cooler when your drifting(or getting stupid, wild-style).

I also use them to signal other drivers that they should join-in on some racing or that they should join-in on some tandem-drifting.

iused them as a "tree" when launching some guys at indy for drag racing. I would count down with them 1,2,3,4(on 4 i hit the start button to ghost)

If your being lapped then really YOU should be going offline. The lights are to tell cars that are being lapped to move out of the way or to warn those rejoining the track that you are coming.

I strobed the lights on my GTR stealth at night on the ring. Was pretty trippy, and I crashed.
