Struggling on NASCAR Special Event

I finally got the last Gold after 1.5hrs of trying. ABS 10, Steering sensitivity at -2, DS3. Everybody is asleep, so my celebration was furious but silent. Won the FedEx Camry.
 
I too am having difficulty with this...I'll try the ABS thing later....

Considering this is an early event, it shouldn't really be THIS hard!!! Grrrrr:crazy:
 
Put ride height all the way up to 15 and aero all the way down.
 
WTF are you people always talking about ride height, brake balance, aero, etc. for??? You can't even adjust those things in the Special Events!

LOL I wondered that myself.
But I think you CAN adjust brake balance in special events if you're using a WHEEL controller instead of the ds3. Not 100% sure on that one.
Could be the RA settings (when you set up your ds3 controller in the main menu) accesses some of those things?
But I'm pretty sure most car-tinkering is not available in special events.

But you were right, my bf finally aced those after turning abs UP and controller sensitivity DOWN.
He just wanted to get through them to win the car, in order to have the car for the nascar aspec race & not have to buy one.
(I intend to loan his stock car to do the nascar series in aspec/bspec, so as to have to do as little as possible with stock cars! lol)
