Damn, and that's such a great way to end a thread! But, there's one last thing: I remounted the bar so my hood clears it, and it feels like there's even more stiffness than before! Now, if I go over a curb in a super-awkward way, you get a motion not dissimlar to the result of dropping a pencil at a crooked angle. Killer.

And all I had to do to get it in sideways was bend the mounts! :indiff:

As long as it works! If i knew someone here had a altima i would have given you all the parts i had leftover after selling mine, well with you paying the shipping of course. Wish i would have known man, had a dist. and alt. and even a few cams and a good bit more just in a box.

I think over here they look at it in a more logical way. It's not like you instantly become a better tech just because you have more certification, so why do you deserve more money for passing a test?
That's the way it works. I've got a couple buddies that didn't get a raise for ASEs, so they moved to a different dealer and got the money they deserved. It took another friend 5 years now for the dealer to send him to Mazda technical training, and the only reason they did that is because Mazda corporate made the training a requirement for their technicians. Dealers are a bunch of cheapasses man, you gotta scout opportunities like a hawk if you want to get big raises.

I'd rather have an enjoyable place to work and make less money than work at some place I don't like for a few extra bucks.
