stuck in starting game new player

when starting a race i have a violation of tyres. doing the cafe menu car collection . when I start a race and go into race menu I have the standard hard tires but the game wont let me play says i have sports tires.what is wrong here. been to the tuning shop done everything i can think of.
so how do you get your car back onto standard tires.
 
You have to go a fit the correct tires first before going to race, there are a few ways to do that

You can do that in the tuning section of your garage.

how do you fit the correct tires that is my problem. been to the tune shop I have purchased the standard hard tires. when i start the race and going into the race menu it says the car has standard hard tires but i cant go.
 
Which Menu Book are you encountering this problem with?

Tyres come in three grades: Comfort, Sports, and Racing, and each grade has three levels of softness, from Hard, Medium, and Soft. If you've bought Sports Hard tyres, it may be that the event requires Racing Hard tyres, or (very unlikely) Comfort Hards.

A neat trick to revert your car to its default tyres is to create a new tuning sheet in the car settings. Most likely, the event you're trying to get into requires the car's default tyres; not many Menu Books require tyres different from what the car originally comes with from my memory.

It's important to note that buying tyres from the tuning shop (Understeer) will equip the parts automatically upon purchase, but buying tyres from the race menu (N2O) will not. To check what tyres your car currently has, go to car settings.

Try creating a new setting sheet OR fitting Racing Hard tyres, see if that fixes your problem.

I have the mini cooper gift car and i have bought a new standard mini and neither car will be allowed to enter the race. Also I have the Supra which I tried to tune and i added the sports wheel and this car has the same problem. why is it so hard I just dont understand and cant progress at al.
 
Hi just because you have bought tyres it does not automatically fit the tyres to your cars. When you select a race go to the car set up option it’s one of the grey boxes at the lower part of the screen, you will then see what tyres are fitted to your car click on the tyre selection and click on the tyres needed for the race front and rear.

It would be incredibly useful to know what Cafe Menu Book you're trying to complete.

Some screenshots would also help (which you can take on your console, as it's quite difficult to understand what you're trying to convey.
 
sorry guys i got all mixed up. I have only just started playing this and never played any game like this before.

I thought the race was asking for comfort hard tires which i had when in fact it was race tires for the Supra and the same for the mini. after much mucking around trying to understand what is what I finally got going in both races and only to come near last on easy level using my thrustmaster t300 rs wheel.
I cant imagine what you have to do to be competitive. most driving aids are off and the cars are at their max pp level so how come they are so much faster than me.
