Stupid things you have done

Well today on my way home from school on my bicycle I nearly had a pretty horrific accident...
It was raining and I must have been caning it at about 20 MPH along the road towards a roundabout. There was a car in front of me and I was keeping up with it OK
Just before the roundabout I looked behind my to see if there were any cars and when I was turned round, the car in front stoppedas there were cars already on the roundabout
I slammed on both the front and back brake and came to a stop about half a foot away from the rear of the car... Sideways
So yes my pants were decidedly more brown when I got home than when I left school (and not just cause of the puddles...)

I'm a little worried you didnt feel this, If you have to rely on visual and audio references to know whats happening to your car its already too late. Though i guess you have to learn at some point, i only know from the 15+yrs of riding dirt bikes, so ive since learnt that skill. I wouldnt go trying anything near limits unless in a safe (as can be) environment until your far more comfortable and familar with the car + situation.

We don't have anything of the sort. His only experience is with a few cars. Although, I will note, I felt the rear end stepping out moments before he gave out his cry of "Oh (snap)" to let me know he's realized this. I also noted that he was doing everything wrong when trying to control the car.

The stupidest thing? Oh gawd, there were so many when I was younger but the one that pops into my head immediately was this:

It was prom night, I was young and had a car and a license. I picked up my buddy who had his brother get us a couple cases of Budweiser. We then drove to a neighboring town to pick up a couple girls that my friend had lined out. We went back to his brothers house where we started to party down, hard. Two cases of beer and a fifth of Tahkillya later (just between the two of us), we were lit up like roman candles on the 4th of July. Much to our surprise, the young ladies actually thought they were going to the prom and convinced us to take them home. After dropping them off at their house I felt the urge to do some burn outs in their front lawn and then left. A couple blocks away my friend thought that looked like fun and wanted a go at it. We traded turns back and forth a couple times before we decided to move on to bigger and better things. The night progressed with my buddy passing out in the passenger seat and myself driving all over completely wasted. In all accounts I should not be alive today and am embarrassed and ashamed at my actions. It was very stupid and should have been locked up. For a little redemption, I should note that I have not gotten drunk in over 10 years.

Ok, that was fun. Next?
