Sub Account DLC?

Can I purchase DLC for a Sub Account? Just wondering, because I tried to use Playstation Points ( or whatever they're called ) and it said I can't do this with a Sub Account.

Please Help.

If you have money for an account it will work for every account.

No you can put money on any account buy whatever and what you bought works on all accounts.

Why is it a sub account and not a master account? sub accounts lose certain privileges that only a Master account has.

You put money on any account you want and you buy whatever and whatever you bought will work on any account on your PS3.
