I just found this in the toy section at Meijers, Its pretty awesome, its a Subaru WRX WRC Transformer. The second I saw it I knew I had to have it. So here it is...

Is it like an actual transformer, or is it some custom made thing?

They have a Dodge Viper too. I saw a whole bunch one day at Target and went back after a week or so and they were all gone. There expensive though at $20.00.

However, I'm getting really tired of seeing these dudes wearing Transformers t-shirts. If you are over the age of 13 and I see you wearing a Transformers t-shirt, I will be forced to castrate you with a pair of red hot pruneing shears so you can't infect the rest of the world's population with your flamboyant childishness.

The new "Alternators" line is quite cool. Nothing like an accurate GDB, Viper, or SE3P with full engine and interior that transforms into a highly poseable action figure. Too bad I can't find them ANYWHERE around here.

Note to anyone who wants one, the japanese release ones have tons of diecast, and a nicer paint job (The US release is molded in color, the JDM one is actually painted), but cost twice as much (inc. shipping). Try HLJ.com if you're interested. I think they still have them.

The ones released in the US are $20 - but they're made up of ALL plastic. I bought the Japanese Takara version for $50. The body is almost all metal (some plastic for the spoilers and hoodscoop). That's a bit pricey, but I'm a toy collector so (as much as I hate to say) I have spent much more on other toys.
