Here you go... I think it's actually a photoshop job but it's supposed to be very near to what it will look like.

the picture from the STi of Auto Express magazine is ok but still the 2003 model is better looking

Maybe you don't know already but Subaru has got a new house styler ( The greek Andreas Zapatinas) His job is "normally" to give the Subaru's a better look so they would be more attractive on the market. Thats the reason why they are aslo working on a boxer diesel engine.
But my concern is that this Greek has just the same ideas as Chris Bangle (the styler of BMW) to **** the cars up and make them ugly. The R2 and the concepts are the first examples of it.

did you all know that GM is the partial owner of subaru of america and saab? that's why the internals of the saab 9-2x wagon is exactly the same as Impreza
maybe in the future we have Saabaru :sick:

SO --> GOOOOO NOW fast to the dealers to have a good looking Subaru now we still can!
 
The Saab 9-2X is the same was the WRX Wagon but has a different dash and is £3000 more expensive.

Subaru should Peter Stevens involved again...
 
I'm all for Saab and Subaru working together. My mom owns a 9-3 Aero. That thing is amazing. But i want to kick that Alfa dudes A S S, for what he's done.
 
those concepts do not look subaruish at all! they are pug fugly! :yuck: gotta love the WRX though........and the Legacy! :dopey:

and for BlueRex, :crazy: :crazy: at bugeyes! one thing i hated about that model.
 
c'mon the bugeyes rule! Check out the pic. Its not my ride but it looks exactly like it. I don't have any digital pics of mine. I have the same visual mods though.

Guys its a photochop .. the original (its just been flipped horizontally) is below .. the new model coming will be a compete redesign of the impreza theme .. which happens every 6 years.

1994 - 2000 Classic GC8
2000 - 2006 Bug and New Headlights GDB (bug and new headlights both share the same bodys)
2006 NEW complete redesign .. lets pray they get it right !

LOL, you have got to be joking!, the 03 Subaru's had an ugly front end with those Toyota Corolla lights, not to mention ugly handling too and now they look set to repeat their mistakes by making the 05 worse than the 03's if that was possible :lol:

Can you explain your WRX a bit more? Does it come with 260hp stock? What are the differences internally between yours and a US spec WRX?

Also, another difference I see is the foglights. You guys get the big ones, while we get the small projector beem ones (which I find cooler, but it surely doesn't make up for the 33 extra horses you guys get).
 
A stock UK WRX now has 225hp the STI's have 265 but you get the Prodrive Performance Pack to bump it up to 301.

I've only got about 240hp in mine (sob)

PS - the newer type like Gilly's are nicknamed "Blobeye's" :)

Yeah sure Mister E, but like Messiah said mine was 225 BHP as standard but for £1600 you get the Prodrive Perfomance Pack put onto that to take it to what mines is now, 260. The Uk STI's have 260 as standard but you can get the PPP for those too to hike it to 300 BHP, that costs £2000 ontop of the car.

So for £21,600 you get the sampe punch as an STI and they are £25,000 there are more differences than just power I know but bang for your buck that's good for a brand new car.

I like Subaru. Subaru is one of the best car companies in Japan. I can remember Colin McRae winning titles for Subaru in the World Rally Championship. In fact, I still consider them the Scuderia Ferrari of rally racing. This company has long been represented in the Gran Turismo series. It's been around since GT1 with their badass Impreza Rally Car. Only thing is, it accelerates greatly, but reaches its top speed too quickly (you don't want that).

But then, I see these machines in this thread by Rport03. I'm kind of hoping Subaru doesn't go to the GM route of styling. My boy McLaren_F1GTR was talking about that the little center grill is reminiscent of Alfa Romeo. To be honest, I hope this isn't what the new face of Subaru will be like. Otherwise, Subaru's going to lose future customers.

Now on to my main points. To see the Baja and Forrester crammed into the GT4 DVD-ROM, I can dig that. Of course, I have a different view on concept cars. If you're going to just judge a concept car on looks rather than form and function, you're not going to appreciate what the car is all about. Don't think that you're going to be able to buy it off the lot to scare children, scare dogs in the street, and get girls. I'm sure that while the new corporate face of Subaru is competing with Chevy for worst corporate front in the 21st Century, if the performance of the B9 and the B11S, I'm sure it will be a hit regardless of the car being an ugly duckling.

did you paint your headlights inside or did you just buy those lights. It looks really good. I painted mine blue to match my car but i would like some JDM STI lights but they cost so much for lights and harness. Just curious what you did?
 
I think the 22b's are the best looking subaru's.. I'm not a big fan of the looks of the more recent ones. but the performance is great. good balance, blah blah :)

Nope, there is also some ugly little Impreza Touring car (not Cusco) that has the bug eye.

BTW, the game got the year wrong, they named the non bugeye STi as '02.

I'm glad both my Legacy & Impreza are represented. :)
