So I love racing but mainly like ovals, Daytona especially. Being a huge corvette fan I follow the C6R Racing team but have never really cared for Monza. Until I got GT5 ZR1 RM dominates the track and is a blast I could race there for forever. I NEED to drive there one day. Any one else have a similar experience where a track you thought you wouldn't like blew you away and now all you do is race there?

Tskuba.

I know it's small, but I just think it is a blast to run on with some of the lower performing cars. The turns are just so interesting and it has a wonderful "flow."

With GT5 being my first real attempt at getting into a racing game of course I immediately fell in love with Nurburgring after the Lupo event. I immediately went out and read the history of the track and tracked down video footage of races on the track.

Then one day I bought the Mazda 787b and drove it around LeMans. Oh man did I all but forget about that 'little' track in Germany. Cannot wait for ingame race saves so I can put in three 8 hour days of driving at my new favorite track!

I fell in love with the "burg" during the AMG Academy when my car slide off the track just before the last turn heading north. I'm like "That shouldn't happen, the angle is only 20 deg at most!"

Then racing the "fast" cars the only track in the world that makes it a "rumble in the jungle" "hot & heavy" race is La Sarthe! Flying down the track all bunched up at mach 1! Wow!!!

The thrill of Monza is hitting those consecutive turns perfectly. THe first is a late turn the second is an early turn. Hit 'em and you've got a great time going!

I've enjoyed Autodromo Nazionale Monza since the Ferrari Challenge on the PS2 and I was thrilled to see it in GT5 along with Ferrari.

Tokyo

I usually hate city tracks (except with slow classic cars, then they are better) and I don't remeber caring much for tokyo in GT4. But in GT5 I just love it! One of the best tracks in the game.

Man I really ha...ergh... dislike Monza, just too boring for me. Not enough turns, really long straights. I felt the same as the OP with Suzuka back in Prologue.

I love driving my Scuderia around monza! One of my favorite things to do in GT5... My favorite thing to do though, is hotlapping cars on the Top Gear Track. At first I thought the track was a bit bland compared to what we see on TV, but I've fell in love with it. It flows really well, is long enough to be challenging and is short enough for it not to be a big deal if you screw up a lap..
What can I say? It's perfect!

Monza is in my top 3 tracks, but I just LOVE the no chicane version, especially when time trialling my cars.

Love racing there. Would love it even more if it had no chicanes at all and the Monza Banking was included in the lap.

I love Monza but I hate to race in it because every one cut the chicanes!:grumpy:

PD, WHY YOU NO INCLUDE?

SSR7. Some people think it's too boring, but this track "teaches" me in gear ratios.

So far, I only got 1 successful (yet unpublished) tune. Looking forward to tune the rest of my ignored cars.

Sadly, I've got to agree about Monza. It just feels boring to race on since it's mostly high speed straights. To be honest, if I had to pick a track I loved in this game. It'd have to be SSR5. The flow to the track is amazing, plus the lighting for the track is simply amazing.

I've never been a fan of Monza. The one track I got hooked on in GT5 is Nurburg GP circuit. I drove a few practice laps there at the start of the game and couldn't find a groove there. After doing some races there further on in Aspec and got it mapped in my head I really came to enjoy it, especially with the German touring cars.

It's a nice track, but there are tracks that flow much better IMO. Suzuka.

Yeah, I recently got the F2007 & have been ripping up Monza with it. So far I'm about 3 seconds off the RL lap record (I'm doing 1:23's). It's fun stuff!
