Jordan, is it possible for you to set up the code to make it easier to copy/paste, in one step, links that reside on the boards?

For instance, if I wanted to bring a thread to your attention, I would love to be able to simply drag/highlight/copy the thread title and send it to you in a PM or even in an email. This could even work for the individual post numbers as well.

I guess I'm asking if it's possible to be able to copy/paste a link with text and hyperlink intact?

I'm not sure I understand - how would this feature be different from right clicking a link and copying the URL?

I think he means than we have to copy the URL and paste it into the box that opens when we use the "Insert Link" button.
I'm guessing it'd be tricky to automatically have the vBulletin software recognise that anything you paste into a normal "reply" window beginning with http:// should automatically be turned into a "link" like many e-mail programs do now, although there are certain instances when it's not desirable to embed a link automatically anyway.
Then again I'm no web-guru, so what do I know?....

Typing a link does automatically make it a hyperlink. Do you mean where the box would pop up so you can make it have text rather than the URL displayed?

And Dave, yeah...I think you've lost us. It seems like you stated that in two completely different ways. Also, long time no see man.

Maybe just posting the thread ID, automatically generates a link to said thread?

I've seen it at other forums, just have to remember what they are.

I'm talking about thread titles or subjects. Highlight that and copy/paste. The software should copy the text with the hyperlink embedded. Instead of having multiple steps to copy/paste the text and then highlight it. Then insert the URL.

Ah, ok.

Testing: How's the traffic to the site?

Still didn't do what I wanted it to.

This is what I wanted: How's the traffic to the site?

I still have to highlighg/copy/paste whatever text I want to use. In this case, it was a thread title from within this same board. Then I have to actually click on the thread to display it's URL. Copy it, then use the hyperlink function to make it become a hyperlink.

I'm using FireFox and I do have the Full WYSIWYG enabled. But, nothing has changed with the reply windows; using Quick Reply. How do I make use of full WYSIWYG?

Is it possible that this is only a function with HTML based boards and it's not possible with the coding we have here?

It works, it just does not appear when you first paste it in.

If I use the normal, "Post Reply" function, then hit "Preview Post", it appears as a hyperlink at that point.

So, I assume it would do the same if you just hit Submit Replay off the bat.

:dopey: Here Goes -

Dave, make sure you're using the full editor on the post reply page, not quick reply.

Now, how can I learn how to use the multiple quote feature ;)
Click the
multiquote_off.gif
button in the order you want them to appear in your post. Simple as that.
