While im sure the overbearing and uber nazi mods have chased away potential paying premo's, i actually think for the long term that is a good thing. My somewhat decent experience in retail sales have taught me that its far better to please 95% of people and gain their business then try to focus on the 5% that miss out, bending over backwards and changing policies just so you can get their business, only to have a negative effect on the 95% you already have (since the reason you have their business in the 1st place is because of the policies and rules in place).
Some people are more trouble than their business is worth. Ive bent over backwards to help out arrogant and all round ******** customers only to have to deal with them for 2 - 3 weeks or more after the sale with wasting time and unnecessary arguments / exchanges and countless changes to the original deal, more often than not resulting in a total refund a month later.
So while im sure the activity of the mods can cause a few people to leave im almost certain that they arnt the people we would want here anyway and Jordon is better off without them, even IF they were gonna buy premo.. Change the rules to let that small % stay and the massive userbase we already have could be in jeopardy.
That being said I'll be the 1st one to say that its a never ending process on making sure the mods are controlling enough to not have chaos yet lenient enough to have free speech and flowing conversations that sometimes vary to and fro from the thread topic.
So i understand your concerns, however i dont believe its as big an issue as you make out. In order to make this work you really need to find exact examples of what your talking about so that Jordan can deal with it.
In the case of your avator thread, i think dukes post was unnecessary and while you blowing up was also unnecessary and childish i can understand why you did it. That would be the type of moderation i wouldn't agree with, If he made that post before your solution was found then i guess he would have a standing point, but the topic was already done and finished and you had your answer.. no need to come in and call you a failure for reading... especially considering one of your questions was asking if the avator restrictions apply once you become premo, something that to my knowledge wasnt written anywhere.
