Wow, that's something I didn't expect to come across... A picture of a Nazca.

Awesome car. And it was on NFS3 as well, that's the last time I've seen it on a game.
 
That Nazca is beautiful but probably SO expensive.
 
I'm having an Out Run fantasy right now, and would like to put my intentions down for that red Ferrari Testarossa convertible (didn't know they really made any of them).

If I can't have that, then being the family man I am, I'll gladly accept the Ferrari wagon.

The TR Convertible is probably a concept car...like the Nazca and the Cizeta
 
You should start reading your own threads. It was already pointed out to you that the Cizeta was NOT a concept....
 
Apparently he never drove most of them, there's no telling how much of their engines and suspensions have converted into a rust-and-oil cobbler. And in those hot states with no air conditioning..

There is a photo somewhere of some brown gunk on the carpet of the Cizeta, most likely some kind of bad bacteria.

Except it's not a prototype either. The Cizeta went into production from 1991 to 1995, & then had 1 car finished in '99 & '03.

In fact, the company is technically still around & will build the car made-to-order.

How does any of that prove that the license plate on the car in the photo is a lie? Tell me? But, hey, I'm just posting what's in the article. So, don't piss on my parade if you think Top Gear lied. You also have to keep in mind this guy has a Nazca CONCEPT as well. In fact, half the cars he owns seem to be extremely rare and conceptual.

No you can get a 1995 Citzeta V16T that was built in 2011. Just like you can get a 1984 DeLorean that was built in 2011.
 
This is a good lesson for the kids. People who are filthy rich shouldn't go and buy a garage full of super cars at once. They'll look like an outdated waste of money in 15 years time. :dunce:

A license plate doesn't mean a thing. It may say prototype, but chances are it's built just like the other 9 cars considering the incredibly small production run of the company.

I never said TG lied either, but chances are they just read the plate, too. I doubt there's anything different on that Cizeta from any other.

But...then again, with that same logic, you don't know if it IS or ISN'T a prototype. I mean, you can't go and compare VIN numbers or something like that, so you can't say either way if it is or isn't a concept. And...*gasp*...there ARE road cars that are exactly the same thing as the concept car...*gasp*

Seriously, I still don't see any reason why you jump down my throat on that one thing considering you can't verify it isn't a concept car or if it is a concept car. no one knows except the Sultan and Cizeta and God. But...given the rareness of the rest of the collection, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a prototype.

Don't be a buzzkill just because no one else has yet. Buzzkillington doesn't need to come to EVERY thread. (especially all of my threads)
 
You're right, I don't. But if you apply something called common sense & logic, you can make a detailed assumption. And that's exactly what I did.

Instead of you who just looked at a license plate (OMG, every car at an auto show is a concept now), I deducted that the prototype is more than likely no different from the production cars when you take into account the company & the small amount of cars they built. The fact you also relied on TG to back you up doesn't really support you when they said this:

In seriousness, maybe there was 11? I don't know of the production numbers for sure, but I always read that it was certainly less than a dozen made.

I imagine the Cizetas would be registered as kit cars. The price for one is well over $600,000 apparently, & if I remember right, the company is listed as being located in California.

I know the Delorean HAS to meet todays emissions standards, but I don't know if it has to meet the safety standards. But...they have homicidal airbags, seatbelts and other safety features, so...

Edit: by the way, the Cizeta probably IS a prototype 'cause umm...well...http://www.cizetausa.com/cizeta/sponsors.asp.htm and according to Cizeta themselves, he owns 3 V16Ts.

I hope you realize that's not Cizeta's website. A lot of the information is incorrect & how is it the car is available for $600,000 & then available for $800,000?
Or that all the pictures are the same ones on every page? No business has a website that bad, or rips the same photo from supercars.net, & then from somewhere else?

They strip down original DeLoreans to nothing and basically rebuild them from scratch using new parts, most (but not all) of which are NOS from the period of time after the cocaine bust but before the company went under when DeLorean tried to start production back up. Its basically a body off restoration more than anything else, but with less worry about making it accurate to the original and more worry about making it as good as it can be. They therefore don't need to pass crash and emissions testing.

Yup you're right. I was wrong that was the incorrect website. I'm sorry. Also...I just want to apologize to everyone else on this thread. I wasn't trying to have an argument here. I'm sorry.

To McLaren, I was just reading what the license plate said, if you have a problem with that, why don't you call up the Sultan and argue with him about it.

Now, can we just have a civilized discussion about this?
