I play with the controller and I have noticed that when I'm playing GT5 my hands tend to get very cold. They will get so cold that when I touch my face they are freezing!!! what's happing??? Am I the only one?

I wish I had that problem. If I play too long or am too stressed doing a certain race or whatever my hands get all sweaty and I have to stop playing.

You're gripping the controller so hard that blood circulation in your hands is taking a hit. And no, you're not alone - I used to suffer from the same thing. Squeeze less. 👍

I thought i was the only one lol, only any of the longer races maybe 10 laps+ my hands get madly cold, but i carry on and at the end i put my hand to my face and its literally frozen!

This, and you're concentrating. Which makes your brains need more oxygen and blood. :)

I tend to get very sweaty hands... So sweaty in fact, I've been looking around for operations.

Cold hands? How 'bout cold in general? My roommate and I have a competition, whoever turns the heat on first has to pay the electricity bill for the month. Needless to say my apt is FREEZING, my poor houseplants are starting to suffer, I live in Denver so I'm sure many of you can imagine what it's like. It hasn't gotten cold enough to where I can see my breath, hopefully my roommate turns the heat on before then, 'cause I'm certainly not going to!

i have a temperature sensitive controller, made it myself, i am currently in hospital recovering from third degree burns to my hands, merry xmas

It's fine it's when you keep your hands above your heart for a long time, nothing to worry about happens when I'm playing my PSP for a long time.

@OP
I received the symptom as well. Perhaps it could be what Greycap had said:

Maybe I should apply the cure when I get the chance to play the game.

When gaming with the controller I have a piece of paper towel folded into like 2x2 inch squares in the palms of my hands.

Rofl! I wonder how it maintains/regulates/increases-then-maintains temperature of the surface & blood circulation of your hands...

My hands just get super sweaty, to the point that i have to wipe my hands off on my shirt every 5 minutes.

It have this problem due to having a s**t heating system in my house. I use fingerless cycling gloves which have gel inserts fitted to the palm, they're good at stopping blisters!
They keep my hands warm in winter and make the control easier to grip when sweating in the summer.
