Hi all so i've done a search of the forums and it didnt turn up any results so my question is what car did you use for this event? Im struggling to find a competative car with a decent enough top end once tuned so that it doesnt lose out in the straights

If you just want to win you can use the Toyota Minolta , toyota 7 race car, the Nissan R89C or the Nissan R92CP? I believe it only has to be Japanese?

Red Bull 2011 Prototype. I'm a cheater. :sly:

If you want a competitive car, try the Nissan GTR concept LM race car, it should be "just enough" to take the win!

If you don't have anything like what's above, buy either the Amuse S2k Turbo or HKS CT230R from the dealers (fit RH to either of them beforehand). They crush the event while being 1/4 of the price of a normal Super GT.

Lexus SC430 on Sports Softs makes for a reasonable but not too difficult race. Use RH or RM tires if you have trouble. The other GT500 cars except maybe the Supra would probably make it pretty simple. I think a lot of people use GT300 cars, perhaps on RM or RS tires, but then you'll be killing them in the corners and getting passed on the straights.

In case you don't know the difference, the GT500 cars all have 450-500 horsepower so if it has less it's GT300.

Those are the cars that "belong" in the event(I think the AI uses only GT500 cars but at least GT300s are still SuperGT), all are premium and none are more expensive than a seasonal race or two can get you. There's plenty of JGTC cars that are older but basically the same that work just as well, although most of them are standard used cars.

Cheers guys I brought the gt-r spec v '09 for the event originally and put full weight reduction on it with all aero parts and tuned it up to 556bhp and pushed the top speed too 200mph the acceleration is there but straight line speed the other cars just cruise past me :-(

Shouldn't it tune out to 864BHP?

I dont have full tune on the gt-r only wanted to slightly push it past the other racers who are all running at 500bhp

Oh ok, I'd say even with your slight amount of "over-power" they will still out perform you with their massive downforce and lower weight. The Nissan I recommended earlier does make for good competition, and it's a really nice car to drive!

Ah ok guess I just over estimated the true abillity of the extra horses :-/ Do you know how much roughly the suggested car is? And is it dealership or ucd?

It's a UCD car, I'm not sure on the power but I believe it's around 670pp.

Why don't you buy a GT500 racecar from the new car dealerships?

Any of them are strong enough to give you a win.

They cost about $900k, which isn't too bad unless you are on a budget!

Good luck,
GTsail

Amuse GT1 Turbo. The most speed per credit in the game.

Would you like to borrow a car? I can lend you a car so you don't need to spend the money.

You'd be willing to do that? Well thankyou very kindly I would apreciate the loan mate
