Welcome to the Super GT Oval Series!
An 8 race series consisting of 4 different tracks, the Super GT Oval Series combines elements from Japanese and European Grand Touring racing with American stock car racing.
RULES AND REGULATIONS - GENERAL INFO
*IMPORTANT* - Rules and regulations may change with or without notice. Stay up to date with the series for rule changes.
- All penalties will be managed by race control (me).
- Complaints will be taken into account and will be reviewed thoroughly.
RULES AND REGULATIONS - TUNING/ASSIST RULES
- No assists except for ABS are allowed.
- Cars cannot be tuned beyond 502 HP.
- Cars may not weight less than 1200 kg.
RULES AND REGULATIONS - RACE ETIQUETTE AND PROCEDURE
- Races will begin on time with no exceptions or restarts. If a driver fails to start a race, they will be given 0 points for the event.
- All races will begin with a pace lap. Drivers are required to remain in a single-file racing line until the first lap (lap 2) begins. Drivers who fail to start properly will be penalized with a lap down the pit lane on the first lap. Failure to follow the penalty will result in disqualification and no points will be rewarded, regardless of finishing position.
- Flags will be called out via text chat by race control.
*A green flag will be called on text chat with the word GREEN.
*A caution flag will be called out with the word CAUTION. Depending on the area where the accident is, the words 'frontstretch', 'backstretch', 'turn 1/2/3/4' will be called to warn drivers of danger. At this time, drivers must slow down to 80 mph and stay single-file until the green flag is called out.
*A black flag will be called out with the word BLACK FLAG with the driver's name depending on who would be given the penalty. At this time, the penalized driver must come down pit road in the next 2 laps or be disqualified.
*The word DISQUALIFIED will appear if a driver is disqualified, with the driver's name following. Being disqualified results in no points being given for the event.
- Cautions will be called if there is a major accident on the race track. At this time, all drivers must slow down to 80 mph, remain single-file, and will not be permitted to overtake. Any drivers who overtake another driver while under caution must give their position back before the green flag comes back out. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
- At no time should a driver be stopped on the race track. Any driver who remains stopped on the racing surface for any reason will be disqualified and be given no points for the event. Head to the pits and press START or suffer the consequences for interfering with the race.
RULES AND REGULATIONS - PENALTIES
*Penalties will be given at the discretion of race control.
- Breaking any rules under 'Racing Etiquette and Procedure' will result in being penalized with their respective penalties.
- Drivers who cause a crash will be given the black flag and must head down pit road within the next 2 laps.
- Intentionally wrecking a driver or spinning yourself out for any reason will result in immediate disqualification.
- Though not necessarily a penalty, a point will be taken away for every lap you are behind the leader (for example, 1 point will be taken away from your result if you are 1 lap down, 2 points if 2 laps down, etc.). This cannot result in negative points.
