Welcome to Round 7 of the Super GT Championship. The end of the racing season is fast approaching, many championships either have been or are about to be decided and it is no different here. Just like last season, the last stop is here in Tokyo R246, a very fast street circuit situated on the island of Honshū and is overlooked by Sony's HQ building. While track width and bumpiness isn't a problem, its fast sweeping combinations often make for a challenge. Drivers will need to be at the top of their game to tackle this course.

General Information and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by SuperGT sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me RACECAR or oldmodelt) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manner.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

  • Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
  • No Cheating, hybrids, etc. You must run the car specifications I give you
  • Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts

Been so long but after playing the GT5 kiosk demo, thats enough practice for me. Gonna be interesting getting back into the swing of things.

Looks like E Rak is in control in the GT500. But in the GT300 there is going to be a brawl. My guess is the one who figures out the best drafting is King.

Man, what a giant step it is between GT4 and GT5  Thankfully I'll only have to get used to this for two weeks and then afterwards can focus all my attention to GT5.

Also for anyone that does have GT5, I'm gonna be holding a Super GT Winter Test session at Suzuka in December. I'd like to try for December 9th, but that'll depend on how many people manage to actually get a Super GT car by then.

time submitted.

this is one of my favorite tracks so this was fun for me. hopefully i was quick too.:)

I like R246 as well and are hoping for times that'll keep me in contention for next weeks Grand Finale. ;)

I have a GT300 time ready, but I may work on improving it after I take a crack at GT500 thias afternoon.

Times submitted! :D --- Randy

Just got my run done. man, I must have been really magical at the time (or had much softer compounds) because I couldn't even match my record. Guess all I can hope is that I can keep up with you guys.

***Times Sent*** :D

Even though my copy of GT5 has arrived, I'll be concentrating on the SuperGT finale as well as trying to complete all the events in the S-Class in Prologue before moving on to GT5 Proper. ;)

Me and my 'shadow' in the form of a GT500 GT-R Test Car plan on being there. ;)

^^ Hopefully for season 9 I can make the last few races. First I need to buy a PS3 though... :ouch: ($500 for 320 GB + GT5)

P.S: I am so using the YellowHat GT-R :D

I feel your pain. But add another 500 for a flat screen tv. Then another controller and even though you promised yourself that you'd only buy GT5, somehow 6 mos. later you see that your library is up to 15 games. Heck they were 1/2 price except those 3 games that you really needed. Total cost about $1500.

I lucked out and have a son with an XBox and FM3. But will hang around here because I'm a rich paying member  and they have a FM3 section. In the future I will be back to get my beatdown again. Thank GOD for Tourist Trophy. Still a great game you guys never played. And one that I'm pretty good at. ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THp8YJeEAyg

Spend the 2 bucks and "come join us".

Hmm... this is interesting. I sent in my GT300 times and they appear to not be on the results table... Mysterious

Guess the extra GT300 runs on Sunday afternoon were worth it. :D

And we may just have a battle for the title in GT500 yet! ;)

I have that game. Its not bad, but to get all the bikes is a pain. So I gave up. Mind you this is after getting the enduro bikes

Do you mean all the diff colors or all the bikes? I found that it was a lot like GT4 in the fact that you could overpower the AI and win many races. My motivation was the fact that for some reason I was better at this game than GT4. But it was probably a little easier too. And I'm one of the few that like to ride in the windscreen view. That is the fun part.
