"SUPER" Rare UCD Cars

I can remember in GT4 the UCD would include some black liveried le mans cars every couple hundred days. I think it was a really cool idea to have these super rare cars, and it kept me collecting :)

I think it was every 500 days or something like that, I have all of these cars in GT4, but I never heard that they were in GT5.

I tend not to waste my time with cars I wouldn't drive anyway, even if they are rare. It's annoying enough trying to find a car in my garage as it is.

This! I have had GT5 since release and play every day for at least a few minutes, I only have about 300 or so cars and still when my friends and I get together to run some laps I have a hard time finding cars I know I have. On a side note , that thumbnail thing I keep hearing about, is that so yoiu can see a pic of your cars when in your garage online?

I think rarity is a rather speculative thing with GT5, if you've got the car it isn't rare at all. But if you've been trying to find it for ages it is perceived, in your mind, as rare. Personally, I feel that a really rare car is one that not many people keep, regardless of how many times it appears in the UCD/OCD. Things like the Nissan GTR Concept (Tokyo Motor Show) for example, as most people will opt for the release versions and simply pass this one by. The IS200 that has already been mentioned also often gets given up because of a perceived lack of power, but it's a GT300 class car, which really excels in handling rather than outright power.

I WILL agree with this. As some of the cars that people are claiming to be rare, I have seen in my UCD sometimes two at a time or two or sometimes three times in a row.

364. S Jaguar XFR ‘10

As a matter of fact, it is absolutely impossible to find an XFR in the UCD. The only way to get it is through winning the Expert Top Gear Test Track Special.

The black R8 could be the LMS version (normal or team playstation)

That would be correct. I have both and both were on the OCD with 0/0. Only one's ive been waiting is the Camaro Racecar and the 787b

The Mazda 787B is a premium now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure GT5 doesn't include a standard version of it.

Then again, there are a couple of cars which have both standard and premium counterparts. (Mclaren SLR... seriously lol)

I bought a black Super Impreza Touring car the other day simply because after a very long time of searching the UCD I've only ever seen silver ones previously. That one is definitely more than rare by my own experiences.

I've been after that car since the game came out last year, I've got the white one but the black one is very rare indeed, to be honest the white one I have is quite a rare one too, bought it when it popped up in ucd and only seen it once since.

Correct. Although I did have the 787B in standard form at one point. It was transfered from GTPSP. Never seen it in the UCD though. I´ve also seen people with standard Enzo´s as well, probably getting them the same way.

I won it in one of the events, dont remember which one though. You can check in the prize list thread.

Ah I'm just using a list I got from here and been deleting the cars that I bought. Thanks for the heads up!

Standard 787B exists. I saw that once though. I didn't buy it of course since there is the premium one...

Sorry, gotta disagree with you on this one. There is no standard version of this car in GT5 unless imported somehow. It simply doesn't exist, period.

I've seen the 787b in the used cars ONCE......doesn't that make it a standard? or am I wrong?

cheers......that damn million credit limit!!! ;) Still it's one of the few reasons I have to check the UCD I've only got these left to get as standards:

89. S BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car ‘97
345. S Hyundai Clix Concept ‘01
364. S Jaguar XFR ‘10
387. S Land Rover Range Stormer Concept ‘04
813. S Pontiac Solstice Coupe Concept ‘02
814. S Pontiac Sunfire GXP Concept ‘02

I got that bmw mclaren on a level 23 ticket. don't know if you guys like this method or not....but on the level 23 ticket if you game save on a usb flash drive after you have the ticket in your account then you use it and it's not the car you want you can simply re-load your game save and use the ticket again and you'll lose the car it gave you but it will cycle the ticket again to a different. car. helps for hunting those special ones you are looking for. wouldn't really class this as duping because you are not making multiple cars just refining your choice......kinda helps you to not get a duplicate of what you already have. can get any upper level car in the game with that ticket.

I have even heard of people getting the Ferrari formula cars from that ticket.........my one thought is if you can get a car that is a premium in the premium dealership like the Ferrari formulas and you can get them with that ticket would they still be premium or would they be a standard??

Are you sure it wasn't the OCD. Don't mean to sound harsh here, but I have been keeping a VERY CLOSE eye on the UCD for like the last 9 months and have NEVER seen it. When I say close eye, I mean very close with multiple refreshes every day for the last 9 months. Plus, it is not on the standard list. Prove me wrong if you can, but I very seriously doubt you will.
EDIT: Just did some research. It is only available on GT5 as a PREMIUM car but can be IMPORTED as a standard. Therefore, like I said before, only officially in GT5 as a PREMIUM, like I said. CASE CLOSED.

On the car list is says S/P meaning, it started GT5 life/production as a standard, but then became premium. Like the Enzo, F2007, ACURA NSX, and others

EDIT: In response to KB18Fan

Me too, never seen it either but saw (and bought) every other cool car that came up some time ago. I'm still not convinced any UCD car is *really* rarer than the next, there are over 1000 cars and unless you never "miss" any (which is easy to do if you don't always check the refreshes between events) your patience will be rewarded.

On the other hand, if you are more casual about checking the UCD then sure you will miss cool stuff and it could be a LONG time before you see it again. Stands to reason.

It's kinda funny how so many people assume a car is rare just because *they* haven't seen it yet. Talk about not seeing the bigger picture...

As for the 2010 Jag, thought I got this from the UCD, but will check.

To Jar31Lar, exactly...it doesn't mean you can get it in both Standard and Premium (why would PD do that?). Also bear in mind that list (if you mean the one in GTP) isn't 100% accurate (the SEMA and Pebble Beach 2010 winners are yet to show for example) but it's pretty close.

No, it means it was in GT PSP. :dopey: wow some people...
Oh another thing, if the 787B was in GT4, how come it isn't on the OCD? Apart from the fact you can import from GTPSP?

So I'm wrong?:nervous: I'm sorry, but that's what I thought it meant!:(

It may say that or started out that way, but the arguement that they are claiming is that it is in the game. I repeat, IT IS NOT, unless imported. It was not put into GT5 as a standard car by PD therefore it will NEVER show up in the UCD like the one person was saying he saw it there...unless imported and I'm not sure how that whole importing thing works as I don't do it. From what I've read, imported cars can only be used in arcade mode. Bottom line, it is not in this game as a standard.

FINALLY......A voice of reason, lol. Thank you and well said. (show him what he's won Bob, lol. jk.)
EDIT: Sorry for the double post. My bad.

Do you think the cars the OP was talking about was Stealth cars? 💡

No, because he specifically said standard 787b from the UCD which was the point I was argueing. No way a stealth car is going to show up in the UCD.:dunce:

I'm still trying to get the #42 Fina BMW Maclaren.....seen the bugger ONCE when I didn't have enough money and now I have loads of dosh I never see the damn car. I check the UCD all the time too.

Just got this one the other day. Actually, my son got it as the Birthday Ticket and then he "gifted" it to me since he doesn't actually play GT5.

Honda NSX '91 is both Standard and Premium.
SL500 (R230) is the same, Standard and Premium.
There are more examples, I believe.
