There's probably a few out there who wonder what happen to the Super Taikyu series season. After a lack of competitor on the final event, along with time zone problems, the series was postponed.

Well, I have been working out some rules and regulations regarding next season. Here's a link to original thread from last season.

At moment, I can say there will be some car changes and track changes.

Feel free to discuss what you'd like to see, and the big thing, what time you'd like to race. After I get enough opinions, I will post a poll to get the result.

Any other questions, concern, or input feel free to put here.

Is Tsukuba going to be included?

I'll try to race. Of course it all depends on the time and day. Mostly time.
 
But if the R8 LMS is in... is it in it's own class or does it run with the street cars?
 
ST-X class for GT3 cars iirc.
 
ST-X class? iirc? Please enlighten me with knowledge of these acronyms.
 
IIRC - If I Remember Correctly....

ST - Super Taikyu
ST-X - Super Taikyu eXperimental or eXtreme class?
 
Oh.. Thanks. 👍 So... will the R8 LMS be running by itself? Or will we be using the road version of the R8?
 
ST-X, or Super Taikyu Extreme as mention earlier is an FIA GT3 class in Super Taikyu. We will be using modified versions of the premium R8 V10, and though I didn't want to reveal too much too early, the other ST-X car will be the Mercedes SLS AMG.

This season's Super Taikyu Extreme class (ST-X) is an FIA GT3 Spec class, and will be restricted to drivers who placed within the top five in championship points or holds a class victory in a comparable series. Four spots are open, and competitors will apply for this position preceding the season

Oh. Looks like I can't sign-up with the R8 then. Off the ST1! Must grab Z4.
Those look like a lot of fun. I can't wait to see those running around. :D
 
I need a few of you guys to give me some times you'd like to race. Also, if you are in contact with any of the old competitor, feel free to let them know.
 
So far, as the other series I'm in haven't started yet, any day is free except Wednesdays for this week and the next. Other then that, Sundays I can't do either. Also, of course, it all depends on time. I can mostly race around 20:00-23:00 (PM) GMT 0. For Saturdays, I could probably shoot for 12:00-15:00 (AM) GMT 0. Or the time I mentioned earlier. That's what I can do.
 
I reckon the ST-X class should use the Audi R8 LMS and if anyone's got it the SLS AMG Stealth. Both can be made pretty close pace wise 👍
 
Actually a great idea if enough people have those cars.
 
Sounds great too me. 80% of stealth cars I see is the SLS model, so I'd imagine many have it...?

I still want to drive that LMS. :drool: I'd want to find a matching colour.

Where are all the guys from the previous season then? Surely they wouldn't want to miss out on Super Taikyu's 10th season! (10th right?)

Correct, unless enough people are interested in Honda Fit and Totota Yaris ST5.
 
Since you said that a driver must be qualified for ST-X, I'll jump in ST-5. Those little cars are fun. :)
 
If anyone want to hold a test this weekend, that can be arranged.

From roughly 10am Eastern to 10pm Eastern (US) on Saturday I will be indisposed... a little matter called the Petit Le Mans!!
