The cautions will hopefully keep everyone some what together. A bad wreck could really separate the packs or make a long lonely race for someone. This can be anyone's race and keeping the packs close could help someone get their first win of the season

I would run the pace car if you could at least watch the race...... I don't want to spend that long just sitting in the pace car without being able to see what's going on. 👎

I have all the NASCARS available, if anyone needs one I'll happily donate, they've never been used apart from the redbull I took out the other night, then I only did a couple of laps before the banked corner spun me out and spat me off!!

I was thinking of taking a week off, so could run the pace car if you like, if I race I'll probably end up falling asleep and causing a pile-up anyway...

Just watched replay...Great race last night everyone. Soopa, you ever cut me off like that again going into a turn and almost cause a 4 car pile up I will make it my personal buisness to make sure you come in last for the rest of the season....CHILL OUT. You can't be first all the time. Have some respect for the people around you.

I'm sorry about that, you were in my blind spot and I simply didn't see you, all I was doing was taking my usual line into the bus stop. I think it was quite clear there was no malicious intent to take you out of the race and for that I really don't appreciate you threatening me in the way you have.
When I first joined I thought the start was an hour earlier than it is, having miscalculated the timezone difference with DST, I'm not making excuses for my poor driving but at 2:30am I'm not exactly at my best and most alert. I know it is my choice to run in this league at that time of the morning, but I've enjoyed the racing with you all and once in I didn't wanna quit despite the early morning starts, it's very hard to find somewhere decent to race competitively online. That said if I cause too many problems through being too tired I will leave the league for the benefit of everone else. I have nothing but respect for all of you and especially the front runners who I am well aware are much better drivers than myself, having seen you racing I never expected to win a race let alone 2, so don't think because I had some good fortune in a couple of races I expect to win all the time, I most certainly do not.

Really? In your blind spot? Really? You didn't happen to notice that you were in 3rd position at the time and that 2 cars were below you? Luckily I was slowing to let JT into the bus stop first as he had the inside lane or all of us would have wrecked.
Your a fast driver I'll give you that. All I ask is to remember that there are other drivers out there with you and sometimes you might have to take a different line or slow and let some one by so as to not push them off track or wreck them. This is not my first incident with you. I'm not threatening you I'm just letting you know that the next time it happens there is going to be a problem

maybe we were not talking about the same incident, I was reviewing lap 2 where I was nose ahead coming up to the bus stop, looking at the replay I can see that there were 3 others yourself included attempting to come up the inside of me but at the time I could see no-one ahead of me and just turned in as usual. I'm not sure what the racing ettiquette is in that situation but I guess from what you're saying I should have braked early and let you all through as you were on the inside...? Its not like I can look over my shoulder to see where people are tho! Whenever I'm attempting the inside going into a corner if the other driver is ahead I brake to let them through, only if my nose is ahead just before the braking point do I consider having the right of way, I guess I've been wrong though and have been yielding incorrectly in those situations as well!
There's been plenty of times when I've been pushed off the track and lost places as a result, especially in this weeks race, once with ncr but he kindly waited for me so we could continue our drafting battle, but I don't feel the need to threaten anyone with talk of ensuring they finish last for the rest of the season. I appreciate that none of us are of a professional standard and expect mistakes will happen and accept an apology as all that is necessary, as I did with Jess last week (albeit with a tongue in cheek comment about DJ reviewing the incident), even though it cost me points.

That said I will ensure I keep a more careful eye on what is going on behind me and attempt to yield when it is correct to do so. I will read up on racing ettiquette so I understand when I should allow people to pass me and when I have right of way etc. Certainly the nascar race has me worried because there seems to be a lot of rules about drafting and bumping etc that I have no clue about, I may well just sit the next race out so as not to upset anybody else.

I really don't want to fall out with anyone here but I've clearly pissed you off before as well as this week and for that I'm truly sorry and will do my best to be a better driver in future

There really is no drafting or bump draft rule. Draft someone when you want. Pass any side you see fit. If you wreck during a draft pass more than likely it will caution out. When bump drafting, do it from directly behind, no corner shots.

Bump draft courtesy, don't bump draft in any part of the turn unless you are really sure you can pull it off and have a working relationship with someone. Bump drafting in a turn will pit maneuver someone easily.

Do not bump draft betond 3/4 of the straight unless you have a working relationship with someone. They need time to brake/lift and you need time to brake/lift and you both can't do it if your still bumping.

Watch speedometer not RPM or braking/lifting points. When bump drafting/drafting at Daytona you can go up to 10 mph faster or more into a turn, your car will not handle the same in the turn at those speeds.

The incident happened on lap 3 I believe. There is a picture under my shared photos that you can see where you clearly cut in front of us. DJ actually commented about it as it happened. I don't claim to know all the rules of road racing I just use common sense and courtesy when racing closely with others

I had an incident in a race a couple weeks ago with another driver who was attempting to draft pass me before a chicane. He was coming up the inside of me and had his car about half way along side mine. I was on the outside, which is the racing line for entering any chicane. I cut in to take the chicane the way I always do and it forced his car off track. The incident was ruled to be his fault since I was ahead of him at the turn in point for the entry to the turn. If he had gotten ahead of me before then, I would have had to slow enough to give him room to enter the turn beside me. Just because he was able to stick the nose of his car along side mine, but unable to complete the pass doesn't give him the right to force me to slow or run off the usual racing line. The leading car has the right to run his line.

I don't know the official ettiquette for passing before a chicane, personally, if I cannot get entirely past the other car in time to get back on the racing line before the turn in point for the chicane, I'll slow up and follow him through. To do anything else is just going to slow us both.

This is not a comment on the incident you guys are arguing over, just what happend to me and how I intepret passing etiquette.

Who ever does run the pace car would need to get together with us during a practice, to go over something's they are going to have to do.

A couple things regarding caution; when a caution comes out the field is to slow to pick up the pace car, which will enter the track from the area after pit road. We will maintain pace of 60 mph and run 1 lap under caution. Feel free to pit at this time, but you lose your track position and must restart at the end of the field.
We are depending on the honor system for track position when caution is called, know who's in front and behind you and line up accordingly
We are going to use the double file restart 2x2
Since JT nominated me to call the starts, after caution is called, I'll let everyone know 1 lap till we go green.
On the last lap there will be no cautions called, since the game won't let us have a green, white, checker

I'll have practice rooms open this week and would suggest practicing under race conditions more so than running alone, as the cars handle much differently in the draft

Which cars have to go to rear of field, just the car causing a wreck, or every car involved in the wreck. Shouldn't damage be on full so returning to pit is needed to repair car? A caution will be called if there is wreck and a car or cars go off track, if someone hits the wall and loses the draft no caution will be called.
Anyone can call caution as we won't have an official to monitor the race
Any car/cars involved in the wreck are to rejoin the field and take position were you rejoin the field, not the position you had before the wreck
If a car is involved in a wreck ( and everyone probably will be at some point). You are to re enter the track and catch up with the rest of the field get in line
With damage to light it's tough enough to get going again so we'll keep it there

I was planning to join you guys at some point in the week, although I've tried before and rarely anyone on at the same time as me, will do my best to meet up as I have no clue how to drive a nascar (golded the a-spec challenge but then they were all piss easy anyway!! X2010 excluded). If I can't I'll sit this week out as I don't want to be the cause of a wreck every other lap

I agree, hold on to your pace car if your going to do it. It will probably take about 15 mins to go over everything( it's not rocket science ). I'm sure your not going to be sitting there doing nothing, there will be quite a few cautions, if the practice races we've been doing is any indication. Thanks again.
