Should we all turn off our mics before race start?

I can't get lower than a 1.14.8 at Rome. That means the fast guys are gonna be at 1.10/1.12's. I know someone's doing 1.13's already. How's everyone else?

well, D and I were preparing for this event and we were right with you, on low 1.14s but we don't know if are going to participate in this event. I'm waiting on Djchon to let us know.

I still haven't watched the replay. Either way I think it should be fine if you guys participate as long as you are not as aggressive or rude. We all are trying to just have some fun and some clean racing.

So lets put this behind us and focus on the race.
 
Is SoopanLuva a forum poster here? If so what's his GTP user name? I want to let him know I thought we had a very close race early on and it was fun for the first few laps. I just watched the replay.
 
i'm not sure but he is a member of the website so you can message him on their. he is under soopamanluva i think.

Yes JT I do post on here, although it was a long weekend for us so I have only just had a chance to get on, agreed we did have a great race through part of the evening.

It was noted on the night by MATTICS71 that he felt I had hit him and not passed cleanly, having watched the replay I feel I had fairly passed him after all, not sure what the complaint was here. Around lap 32/33 I was following closely looking for an opportunity to pass the slower car, I got a better line coming out of the tunnel on the outside, which gave me the inside line coming into the following right hander and with my nose ahead of his, as I turned through the corner MATTICS71 taking a different line came into contact with me. I'm no expert on race etiquette so feel free to watch the replay and correct me if wrong but I'm pretty sure I had the right of way.

As mention by DJ on the race review I had worked hard in the early stages to recover from an early mistake and had caught the leading pack, unfortunately for me just as I had caught them enough to keep up with slipstream on the straight a mistake by D_Professional on the tight right hander before meant I lost that position, I don't blame D for that it was just one of those things and unlucky for me. That said later in the race (and I need to watch the replay again to confirm the lap number) D_Professional did punt me from behind into a wall which I do feel was unfair and having seen coments from other drivers on here it would seem he was being a little too aggressive on the night, hopefully he can keep this in check going forward.

Another unfortunate incident for me was passing 2 others around lap 28ish, got great drive through the esses mid lap and got up the inside for that horrible tight left hander, we were three abrest with me on the inside, the outside car hit the middle one into me and I got stuck into the barrier on the inside which may have cost me a podium finish. Managed to catch MATTICS71 and pass again before the end, no-one to blame btw just saying it was another one of those things and I'm too tired at 3am to make my own luck!!

In all I had a great time with some competitive battles throughout, I'm not in it to win just to have a good time and some close racing, I certainly had that on the night so I'm happy overall

It seems to me that there is a lot of complaints about D-Professional and Xavier. Racing to aggressive, trash talk etc. This is a laid back fun league that started with a few guys wanting to race clean and get away from the hardcore random lobby nonsense. It has grown very strong in the last few months, with races up to 16 people participating. More so than the actual races the "off race" times are the ones I enjoy most with the friendships I have made since I became a member here. We are mature gamers who have jobs, families and the daily stress of life to contend with. Some of us only get to race once a week. We are by no means proffesionals(although we wish we were). We enjoy a compettive, clean race and don't want to worry about getting punted out of the way of an overly aggressive impatient driver. I know DJ doesn't want to turn anyone away from the league or discourage anyone from joing. But my thoughts are that D-Professional and Xavier should just move on. Find another hardcore league or start your own. It seems that you guys are looking for a different kind of race than the ones we run. Thanks for stopping by.
 
I've sent out emails and hopefully this specific case is closed. I can't speak to the incident Soopa is talking about. I was not following him very closely throughout the race. Either way we expect clean driving and the number 1 thing is to respect other drivers and have fun.

If D_Pro or Xavier are looking for a more aggressive league then maybe it would be in their best interests to move on. If they feel they can adhere to our guidelines and have fun with our group I feel that they should have another chance to prove themselves.

Either way all eyes will be on them.

I'm only going to say that this is very insulting , yes Im an aggressive driver but i didn't bump no one during the race and i want you personally to tell me where did i bump one and where is the complaints about me driving aggressive, please watch the replay with my car all the way, so you can make your statement. My argument was about D, not me it is not my case it is D. so for you to put my name out there in bad way is not fair because i raced everyone fairly. allwitjt knows how i drive other than that i didn't drove with anybody else side by side in the race other than Allwitjt, D_pro and last itoss669 and non of them were bump by me. Dj said for us to move forward with this case so that's what Im going to do.

Well.. you yourself admitted your an aggresive driver. I was just stating a fact. That's not an insult. What was insulting was your conduct during the race towards Ito. What was insulting is D pushing people out of the way to make a pass. I didn't have the pleasure of racing with you as my car and set up wasn't the greatest for that race. I have alot of respect for the people in this league and am just looking out for them and it's integrity. If you and D think you can control yourselves and your tempers and postively contribute towards this league than your more than welcome to stay. Most of us that joined this league did so to make friends and enjoy racing, tuning and just b.s.ing. So far you guys haven't made any friends.

ok, then we will prove ourselves worthy to stay. I wont say no more. Maybe you don't understand what appear or seem like of illegally blocking the leader. And again please view the replay on my view and tell me if u see anything wrong or any wrong moves because i passed itoss669 right when i got to him,at the hairpin where I was in front , in the outside and he came from inside and bump me. I want you to understand that yes I'm an aggressive driver like many others but didn't bump no one during the race, nor I intent to, I did contact allwitjt but it wasn't intentionally it was minor battle moves, so stop putting my name out there as if i was driving reckless and bumping racers because I raced clean. Thank you.

I also apologize by what I was commenting during the race while I was watching Itoss669 , blocking D. That was the only time other than that , I didn't say anything else.

Another thing it seems like you and some others have a personal problem with me and D when the problem was not with you nor with the others but D, Itoss669, Allwitjt and me who was there watching. So if neither of us contact you, you shouldn't be involve making false statements, especially about me. This is DJ racing league and i have not nor D broken any rules, yes we can be friend if you want but while being fair. This will be my last comment see you at the track. Thursday.

I race the GTP Prototype Series and we are rubbing at 227 mph a lot of times. As a result, I am used to driving defensively and minimized our contact as much as possible.

I was not able to see anything going on between D and ito, I was too far back still. I am under the impression that most of the concern is room conduct rather than driving conduct. It is hard enough to tell who is blocking who in a replay let alone while trailing two drivers during a race.

I think a warning or a heads up during a race rather than a hardcore curse laden accusation will be highly appreciated next time if an infraction is believed to have occurred.

Let's have fun next race and keep this league going strong.

Soopa- I was in the white dc2-the middle car-and saw you zipping along in my rear view. I headed for my usual line thru there as it looked like the outside slower car would stay...well outside. But I got knocked right into your path and was able to richochet off both cars through the tight turn. I saw you get sideways and hoped you didn't think I rammed you on purpose. Glad you saw that wasn't my intention.

Soopa- I was in the white dc2-the middle car-and saw you zipping along in my rear view. I headed for my usual line thru there as it looked like the outside slower car would stay...well outside. But I got knocked right into your path and was able to richochet off both cars through the tight turn. I saw you get sideways and hoped you didn't think I rammed you on purpose. Glad you saw that wasn't my intention.

Yeah I had no problem with this incident I was just highlighting some interesting things that happened during my race along with my rant, there was no blame directed towards anyone for this one, it was just one of those things and unfortunately I came off worse out of it (for the second time in the race!!)
 
On Rome reverse, I am about 2 to 3 seconds off pace, so I will just drive around in the back.

I think the PP and/or tires are too much for this course. I personally find this course to be more enjoyable with a slower car on lesser tires.
 
I'd like to put a suggestion out there for you guys. I think we should start our Friday night races 30 minutes later...9:30 est. To allow Snoopykuan time to get home and join our lobby.

Not a problem for me, at my age I have nothing else to do on a Friday night anyway :lol: I'm a night person anyway, so the later the better. đź‘Ť

Moving the time is ok with me too.
 
I'm ok with later friday nights if everybody else is.
