Is it just me, or is this simply the most fun seasonal event/car combo?

Nope not just you.

It's fun:tup::)

FUN!!!! You call that fun?! Are you out of your mind, Sir?
Just kidding.
Personally, I think you should get paid for doing it... in cash. It sounds like hard freakin' work.
I might try it, though. I used the Cobra quite a bit for the Historic Car races. Love AND hate it. It would be fun and frustrating at the same time. That li'l female pooch is just so unforgiving!

I haven't driven the Cobra with the new physics. I need to.

Slightly OT... I sure wish the 289 Cobra was in the game...

with racing tires its easy... but with sport tires its a bit a challenge:tup:

damn!

Used the AC Cobra and won (around 7.41)

totally stock. Not even oilchange. No tuning whatsoever!
sports soft tires.

Took a good 5-6 tries before i won it. Was about 16 sec first timed section. then gradually catched up. Passed leader just before the long straight at the end. as the cobra tops out at 261km'h the lambo's were catching up. I had to be dirty to keep them behind. But at the last turns i got a 2sec lead.

Fun, but not doing it again! And for the record, im not reproducing it.

On comfort tires? GOOD LUCK!
On racing softs? too easy
On sports? CHALLENGE

Im sure some of the experts out there can crush this, but for me this was grueling hard.

The Cobra is realy fun to drive.
I have done this maybe 10 times. I also tried to tune it a bit, but I think with a bit more power or any other upgrade it´s loosing the great handling. It just don´t feel the same.

Cobra 👍

Thanks for the suggestion about the Cobra. Been doing it on sports soft tire at 525PP. Lots of fun, and I'll probably detune it or go to sports hard (default) tires. Great car for all the events in this series.

I find the relativey low top speed too frustrating - I normally use the custom 'box and increase the top end to stop it bouncing off the limiter too early. Other than that I tend to use Sports Softs or Race Hard if I can't get it together - all else unchanged.

Also, I was surprised how soft the suspension is, it pitches and wallows so much.

It's a bit of love/hate for me - I haven't managed a really good clean lap of the 'Ring yet :dunce: Just when I think i'm doing OK...getting a bit confident...Doh! - bitten again.

I also like the Cobra for Drift Trials 👍

only possible in a video game.

unless you were completely fearless. or insane.

Even more fun is the A/C cars 427 cobra, I find it handles way better.

Same over here.
The car in full stock is simply beautiful, in fact, I haven't tuned out, instead, I've buyed a new one for a complete tuning but it just don't feel the same.... emotion you know?

Giving a ride on this while sunrise on the Ring, with a shifter is glorious.
About the supercar nostalgia event, its hard with full stock.

The game suggests you use Sport hard tires :) and the PP limit is 550
try to beat the race with 500pp car on sport hard :)

Hi

Well done to all those who won the Nurburg race in a Cobra. After 4 attempts, I don't mind admitting I gave up and switched to the old Lambo :D

Winning the Suzuka race with it is more of a challenge if you ask me.

Took me 6 tries on Saturday to finally win at Suzuka with Sports Hard :ouch: !

can't use sports hard with more that 700 HP, there's too much grip. So I upgraded to just 550 hp and After 100 tries or more I just gave up.

I love the cobra, but its a bitch.

No but I will give it a try.
Originally did it in Countach (stock), loads of fun.

Just did the Trans, Suspension, LSD upgrade & Oil Change (should not have).

:guilty: tried it and very tail happy and had to go with SH....need to make some CREDIT! :yuck:

I just got like a 7:43 on Nürburgring in my 78' Fairlady beating all the super cars. Probably one of the funnest races I've had in a long time.
