My time has been sent as well.

My best GT500 time was in the 57s, but the track was a real doozy for me. Never liked Seoul...

My best Was 0'55.9xx, but entry to corners B, E-D screwed up. AI was set to 0.

Cant wait to some of the later rounds, cause street circuits that have v. sharp corners are my weakness

Question: If your using T-cars, do you have to race in all three of them or just select one of them?

You can only have one entry for each class so you need to decide which car you want and then stick to it for the whole season. The T cars were only for preseason.

With some of the times ive been hearing, I might have a chance of placing high.....

My only option may be to get high - I cannot keep up with you all, in GT500 I have only manaaged 1:02 first laps, and 56 sec laps. So, I will submit my time to bring up the rear!:yuck:

Greetings fellow GT racers -
I was able to just crack the 59 second barrier,:) so I have just sent my Korean times to ABud. Decent fun. My CUSCO Advan Impreza does quite well, its just slighly overmatched by the competion at the level 8 difficulty. The front runners pull away on the straights.:yuck: I ran with the 250km speed setting. I left a little room for improvement but not much, so I'm quite satisfied.

Good luck all,
GTsail290

Great track (easy and fast), but I was only able to post a quick lap of 55 sec. Alas we run out of time again (and my fingers are numb), so I submitted my best effort for this race. I did not use any aids, and set the speed to around 290km/h.
Do we go into a new thread for the next track, or race this track at 25 laps starting Monday?

A new thread will be put up tomorrow morning with the updated entry info (+1% weight for top 3) and number of laps etc., as well as the results for this race being posted here.

The parity in GT500, as indicated once again by the results of this sprint race, is very impressive. 👍 The drivers with car numbers 1 and 2 finished first and second, too. Unfortunately for me, I finish in the least desirable spot, getting a weight penalty while earning fewer points than the first and second place finishers, but someone has to end up in that position, and I don't think that an additional eleven kilograms will make a huge difference to the full race time, anyway.

For GT300, I think I'll take a video of my run to make it clear that it's just reckless and "creative" driving in an already fast car, and not cheating, that I'm using to set good times. The way I'm driving the car calls into question any validity of the claim this game had to the title "The Real Driving Simulator". :scared:

I can't for the life of me work out where you've got one second on me around this track. It must be someting to do with turns 3, 4 and 5. Oh well, hopefully i can bag second and do well at Fuji instead :)

Hopefully, you can find your answers somewhere in that video (sorry for the terrible quality!). The short-shifting at 6500 RPM that I employ helps somewhat, but is not critical. Clearly, I can't maintain anywhere near that pace for 37 laps, because I would be bouncing off of the walls constantly, and any corner "clip" with those jagged barriers means a certain penalty. The car is almost certainly the fastest, and it suits my driving as well. I also love listening to it; I can't think of a car that is more pleasant to listen to than this one is. Other cars may have meaner, louder, or more spectacular sounds, but this one is just music to me. If you want to see what I mean, try holding the RPMs right on the rev limiter without letting it "bounce."

Nice driving Austin343. Just saw it. I'm actually pleased with my placing. Especially in the 500 class. The au Cerumo was a good pick for me. The sprints are never a strong point for me. Not fast enough. Hopefully I can wear you guys down in the races.

I'm not bottom! lol

When I did that run, I didn't realise I could play with the gearing either, so I was lugging around an extra cog.

Should be interesting to see how the big race plays out

You know what it may be the last corner thats costing me, I'd never of thought that doing a big slide like that would actually be quicker! I wonder if i can get better times now, i'll give it a go tonight.

Nice driving tho:tup:

When I did my qualifying runs, I did not do what you did in the Seoul Namdaemun turn. I imagine doing the D1 GP technique in the race may result you in going to the pits more often for tires.:D

I'm in the same boat with you re: lugging a cog. Only thing on my part is I didn't have much time to put in a number of runs, so I went with a nearly stock setting for both of my cars.

YOU LAPPED THEM!!!!

Nice driving man thanks for the share:tup:

I use that technique in a lot of cars, and it's effective because you get a much better angle on exit and have to spend much less time turning. It takes some practice, for sure, if you want to employ it consistently. As you can see, I wasn't able to do so.

When I did my qualifying runs, I did not do what you did in the Seoul Namdaemun turn. I imagine doing the D1 GP technique in the race may result you in going to the pits more often for tires.:D

It does adversely affect tire wear, but I suspect it's less than you think. You don't spend much time actually sliding, so the benefit of the improved lap times outweighs the slight loss of tire longevity.

YOU LAPPED THEM!!!!

Well, they are slow, even on -5. Considering how early in the final lap I met the backmarkers, even very poor driving would see at least one car lapped by the end.

Thanks, everyone, for the compliments. If you want, I can do the same for every sprint race, although I'm not sure how useful it would be after a while.
