52s on mediums! I def fluked 3rd, i was having to force it to get late 53s - no where near your pace.
 
only five laps on RM's with the RX7? I got six, could get 6.5. You must have burned them clean off!

Congratulations to both winners, especially Austin in GT300. was much closer than qualifying, which makes me happy, but wow...sub 2m? I bow to you sir, you are more skilled than I.

I could have done another go around on that stint, but I wanted to maximize my time on the soft compound. 4+5+4+4 has me doing 12 laps on RS and 5 on RM, which is better for me than 4+6+4+3, which has 11 laps on RS and 6 on RM.

Especially KidrauhlM5 who nips my Subaru Impreza by just over a second! We are having a close Subaru battle in the middle of the pack.

It could have been even closer but I took a creative line thru the hairpin and lost about half a second.:dunce:



I didn't mean to touch the grass on the right on the entrance to the hairpin, I just was not paying attention even though it was only lap four.:dopey:

WHOW!!! Nice battle there GTsail290!!! Just around a second apart from us and guess what for the next race?? This thing would be continuing until the end of the season!! Congratulations mate ;) :D

Anyway, congratulations to SagarisGTB for the victory and for the fastest lap and also to the GT300 class winner Austin343 for the victory and aslo for the fastest lap. Congratulations not to forget to all the drivers out there!! :)

I went back to see what happened to the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo Rally Car '85, and why I was able to lap him in my other race.

It seems that the Renault likes go about one-half lap longer than its tires will allow. First the Renault parks it in the hairpin (I guess it wanted a front row seat for when I might try another creative line thru the hairpin in my Impreza). Then it does a nice 360 into the sand traps looking for the "spoon". If you watch closely after another spin in 130R, you can see my Impreza blast by on the right!



Did you notice the love tap that the Renault gives the armco when it backs up in the 130R curve?

I'm not an expert, but usually its hard to get a quick lap time if you spend some time in reverse during your lap! But then what do I know?

Finally the AI driver takes the Renault into the pits. Its lap was a 3 minute and 8 second lap. Not the best!

GTSail290, that was exactly the same thing happened to me :scared:!! And my Subaru blasts off exactly like what you did... Boy that was scary!!! The Renault spun the other way around exactly the same!!

Boy what happened here :p

I done the Same as well in my Takata in practising... fun :D except i held it and drifted it!
 
Especially on the races where you're fighting against rally cars with RS tires, the rally cars tend to burn their tires off before the computer tells them to pit. I race the BMW GT1 in my GT500 races, and while it's blisteringly fast, it burns its rears off so fast that it ends up being last-place. At Hong-Kong, it had a 15s lead on my 5 laps into the race, and ended up being lapped twice by me.

No one ever said the computer was smart.
