The finish in GT300 was probably the closest in JGTC history. 6/100ths of a second! And the king has been defeated! At least in Qualifying.

Congratulations to RACECAR in GT500 for showing what the Motul can do.

Edit.

Is the penalty for a late submission the automatic +10 sec. If so my fault for forgetting to submit on time. I would have been down at least that from the looks of things. You all must run some darn consistent and have some smoking first lap times as well. Hoping to improve on my qualifying and over the next two rounds as my race times will be reflecting the -5%hp as well as my lack of consistency from lap to lap. I was seing 1.5-2 second variances in lap times on laps 2-5 in my couple of qualifying/familiarization runs. Oh well rough start to it all but at least it's while I am already down.

Cheers to ICallShotgun for the pole and cheers to GTXDriver for being within .060 over 5 laps! We'll see how close the finish is at the end of this week's race.

And probably always will be Chris! (especially if I don't have the time to put in 10 races or so) Qualifying is 'No tyre-wear' init? My smooth, tyre friendly, driving style will never be as fast as the rip-the-fronts-to-shreds method you need to be fast with no tyre-wear.
It's something I can live with, fastest laps within races are more my bag. Those added soft stints without increasing the pit-stop count, don't you know?

Congrats to all, and strange 'real times' from a certain person.:odd:

Penalty is 10s in the race for missing qualifying. Deadline is a hard deadline of 6p CST (Chicago Time).

I have done late time penalties in past series, but the problem with that is I end up waiting until late to post, and all of a sudden BANG someone sends in their time 2 hours late, after everything has been done. So no, I've gotten them out of that habit, sorry.

S'all right, I see the correction. Nice hot-lap BTW!

Burn them fronts! I love the smell of tyre-smoke in the morning!

Well, it helps when there is no tyre wear involved:sly:

Alright. I knew this was my track to shine on. Team Nissan will be proud to have their third in a row of the season. Congrats to you and Team Toyota for the close finish in GT300.

Gonna have to bag the season guys, have to do some 'strongly suggested' aka Mandatory OT at work. Sorry.

Jerome

That's going to be a hit to the GT500 field Jerome! I was wondering where you went.

It was really good to have you, and if you get an opportunity to "guest star" in a race or two down the road, please.

[shameless plug]
Also, There's another little series I run that I would like to have you in as well if you can over the summer
[/shameless plug]

Good luck

Apocalypse now... One of my all-time favourite. 👍

As it is mine 👍 .. redux version

Redux?Does it mean that it is the short version?
I have the "Director's cut" edition,approximately in 3 hours.

Took you guys long enough to catch that one! I'm disappointed! Honestly!

I have the "Redux" version, which is "apparently" the ultimate 'director's cut' @ 3Hrs and 22 mins long!
It takes almost as much persuasion for me to get to watch this, as it does to get to watch the director's cut of "Das Boot"!

Fantastic film, especially when played through a 5.1 or better, 350w or better, surround kit at 75% capacity!
Certainly wakes the neighbours up!

Coprecipitated aluminium salts of naphthenic and palmitic acids, indeed!

Theres your christmas present Laz .. REDUX APOCOLYPSE NOW .. you know Martin Sheen was actually having a real heart attack while they were filming his spin out in the hotel room .. production was delayed untill he returned {they filmed all the bits that didn't include him during his recovery}

I took a look at my version...
It tells that it is the "Director's cut" for DVD rental shops but only 3h 14m long,so this is not the REDUX... I spent a lot of time to get it... :ouch:
Sorry for the confusion Neil.I see you are a real movie fan. 👍
