Rules and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by SuperGT sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me ICallShotgun) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manor.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
  • No Cheating, hybrids, etc. You must run the car specifications I give you
  • Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts
  • No wall-riding as well. Combine with penalties, this will slow you down considerably, so don't do it.
  • All decisions by GTMSA officials are final

Chris, is my weight correct? Wondering why it was reduced between qualy and the race for this round... :odd:

Yes, all the weights are correct. Re-redid the weights now that my head is clear and there were some issues.

+2,+1....-1,-2 percents. Only accrued during race results. I think I missed or added Qualifying somewhere last week...otherwise everything is as it should be.

PS, I'd like everyone's feel for the AI this round. especially the GT300 guys. did you win? place? show? get lapped? etc.

Please see format for submitting, it's been changed

Have a banker race in, good race barely beat the number 2 AI, about 12 seconds I think. The way the tires wear is gonna give Neil a little advantage, I know how many laps I get and Neil always gets at least one more which is all he'll need to have a sprint at the end on RS's. I had to go with RM/RS's the whole race. A great course for the Celica's...just wait for Monaco you Celica guys ! :)

I ran with the above current settings and placed well ahead of the 2nd place finisher. I ran RH/RM split for 10 laps and 10 laps then pulled in for a switch to RM/RS. I think If I had been easier on tires I could have ran a little lighter/slower laps and ran RM/RS all race and done two pits, but I don't like being that nice to tires. Plus my middle stint was quick.

Too bad it's +10sec. for me again this week. My qualifying time was good although I was down 4% on weight. I need to get it in my head that qualifying is due Sunday night and that I should submit early as I always have my time at least a day before then.

You are hoping for a win again?
I think you can do it.I am waiting for Mid-field. :trouble:
If I am not mistaken it is in the schedule somewhere in the future...

Having a go at this, this afternoon!
Kicking the misses out to Bingo, so I get some me time for a change. lol

Neil

EDIT!!!!!!!

Scratch that! Might have to do it later on tonight, or tomorrow.
Seems the baby might be Gracing us with her presence sometime today! (Pun intended! )

No Laz, I don't have a chance this week, you guys in the Celica's are gonna sweep just like the quali.

Time submitted.
Good luck you all.
Chris,we get 5 points winning the qualifying, don't we?
In your chart there are written 7 or 6 points at the winners of Q5 and Q6 in both classes.(Zeratul, ton and me). :nervous:

My understanding is 5 points for pole, 1 for fastest lap, 1 for submission (or non-submission with a valid reason indicated in time)

ALRIGHT DAD! can we call you that now Neil? Pops, Pappy, Father, Old man (sorry JR, if you're still here). :)

Not yet!
Sitting at DEFCON 2 at the moment, waiting for the practice contractions to turn into proper ones.
Got absolutely no sleep what-so-ever last night, and under 4 hours the night before. Completely knackered, and unable to concentrate.:ouch:
So if I don't submit a time, I hope you all understand?

Hoping to get a race in, but still haven't managed the WES race either. So I may end up missing both. :grumpy:

Neil

I spoke about the qualifyings only.Until Qualifying GVS (Round 5) you scored 5 points,3 for the pole,1 for fastest lap,1 for submission.Just take a look back,Steve.
If you are not wrong, then the points scored in the first four qualifyings are not correct.

Nope, Laz is right. I'll edit and re-do the points. I don't know why I did that, it should be 3,2,1. You're not worried about your lead are you?

Actually not,I was in the stuff of guys awarded with bonus points... :)
I just didn't understand it.

Just did a 3 pit instead of a 2 pit and knocked 20 seconds off my time, came in first by 30 seconds and lapped 2 AI's. A fairly consistant run but it wasn't until the last 15 laps that I started feeling very comfortable with the course. The corners I hated the most are now my favorites once I figured them out. I know I can knock another 13 seconds if I run a near perfect race. Don't think I'll try any other pitting stratagies, can't see how a 4 or 5 pit could be any faster, I'd have to average over a second a lap faster...ain't gonna happen.

EDIT: Neil has been quiet today, wonder if they're at the hospital, if so best wishes buddy!!!

EDIT2: Well forget about finding 13 more seconds, just reran and my total time was 1.3 seconds slower so I guess I'm at my limit. Ran this race 5 times so this is as fast as I can go. .No matter where I finish I don't have any excuses. Good Luck everyone!! Think I'll go play at Monaco..our next venue and a favorite of mine, the Celicas don't have the advantage here.

EDIT: Sat 10:30AM, Times submitted, fastest lap was 3 seconds faster then my best quali lap.

Time submitted.

I managed a decent run, although my last stint on softs was a little hairy. The car seems very twitchy here on the softer compounds.

Good luck all 👍

Times submitted. And before the deadline too. :O

As for the time submission form, I thought adding the place you finished in the race was a nice touch. :)👍 Will that be used in the form from here on out Shotgun?

Still no appearance from the baby, but trips to hospital and midwives continued over the weekend.

No time or enough sleep to do the race.
Sorry All!

Neil
