I'm doing the 9 hour a-spec race ( Tsukuba) and the damned bug is pissing me off!

I thought this was fixed in a patch shortly after 2.0 launched.

Problem is it does it every time I suspend in this race. I am at 4.3 hours now and don't want to restart!

Thanks for noticing again Captain Obvious, there sure must be a patch released altrough there is only one yet not fixing that.

Try this afternoon and then make another topic.

Oh I'm sorry, but this thread isn't for people like you, you know what I mean? So kindly exit and don't come back.

The question that is in my frustration, since there has been some problems interpreting it without having d***head responses.

The bug in question, I thought was fixed when the DLC content was released? At least that's what I think I remember, can anyone confirm/deny this?

No it has'nt been fixed and had you done even a modicum of homework IE, searched you would have found this out.

No, because DLC does not patch. Patch notices and downloads do. For who is this thread then? For people who want to know how you thought the DLC was a update.

There was a 'fix' for this in patch 2.01, which altered what happened when the bug occured, however it appears the bug is still there. A number of suggestions to avoid this bug have been made in other threads, however to date it appears no-one has identified a way to be certain to avoid the bug.

Factors which have been suggested for causing the bug are:
1 - Pit entry speed (don't go too fast)
2 - Pit entry point (enter at the beginning of the pit lane and stay within the pit lane)
3 - Tyre wear level (not confirmed)

There have also been some suggestions for overcoming the bug should it occur, however I cannot attest to their success having not tried them. It seems that continuous re-loading may be just as good as pressing a combination of buttons at a critical point on re-start.

Unfortunately, the other threads discussing this bug have gone quiet, and there seems to be no interest in further testing to determine what the conditions that cause the error actually are.

My suggestion would be once you manage to get your race working again, using any one of the methods found elsewhere in these forums, enter the pit lane slowly (30-50mph?), at the very beggining and not taking any chances with your line once in the pit lane, and with tyres showing no more than 40-50% wear. With any luck this might just work until they can come up with another patch. Alternatively don't suspend the race again in the last 4-5 hours you have left.

Hold brake and force your anologe/steering wheel to the right, that's how I got mines to work after a few tries! :D

I thought the DLC was in Spec 2?
Am I wrong?

It's not pit lane speed as I enter at 40mph at exactly the area where the indent for pit lane entrance begins. I made it to 6hours just fine without any resume bugs showing up. 3 resumes and I was fine. Then on the third resume 6 hours in I had to go somewhere in a hurry do I pitted as usual at 40 mph and at the usual spot. The only difference between my attempted 4th resume and the previous 3 successful resumes was that I pitted with about 75% tire and fuel. I think this is may be what brought the bug out. :-( All the previous successful pit resumes were on minimal tire/fuel.

I won't be attempting this Enduro till they fix it. So disappointing that PD doesn't playtest their work worth a damn before releasing to the public.

Patch 2.01 is supposed to correct this problem. Pls read the changelog.
However, it did not solve the problem at Tsukuba. Tried twice and failed.
It fails sometimes at restart (randomly) even if I drove in at the beginning of the pit lane at about 30kph.
Grand valley and Suzuka (yet to complete) worked perfectly for me so far. Heard no problem from Le mans and nurburgring too.
Wait for new patch before redoing Tsukuba race.

The problem is that you don't know how to enter the pits, probably. Enter at the road next to the back straight, not the direct entry at the main straight.

It's got nothing to with that. Pit lane entrance begins on the back straight before the turn leading to the main straight. The grass cuts in leading to the pit entrance before that turn. I enter there at 40 mph everytime, perfectly straight and on asphalt. From there the computer takes over and shoots me up to around 60mph and then drives Around the turn onto pit on it's own.

As I said I had 3 sucessful save/resumes but the fourth one the bug showed up. Only difference on the fourth attempt was that a lot of fuel and tire were left. Only about 10-15 laps or so on the car on the 4th attempt so I don't know if the game glitched because I pitted too soon.

As I've said before in a previous thread: Wait until your car is in the garage area until you suspend the race. Don't save while your car is driving on the narrow pit lane.

Ive had this happen recently while testing it in a spec. I'm not sure how to fix this, but Seanchump's idea is a good place to start.

A similar glitch happens in b-spec, though instead of rendering your driver unable to race everyone else has a tire called Sports super soft. It behaves similar to the rain tire in that theres little grip, but the tire itself has HUGE endurance. Theres a few vids in youtube showing people that got it if youre interested. I wont post them here since i fear we would stray off the main topic.

I finally just stopped suspending the race. I waited until the car was in the pits, that didn't work, I entered the pits at 80 km/h (pit speed) that didn't work. The only way I have found to fix this is:

Don't turn off your PS3 :P

To those that posted about this 2.01 confirmation, thank you, I thought I was going crazy. The release notes did in fact mention this fix.

To those that are just simply too toddler like to answer the question with some respect, well .. You can just imagine what I'd have to say.
