What a piece of crap car. Under powered ,slow pick up under steering, hey but that's what GT 5 is all about.I know " it's easy" " I've golded it on my first try"" the test's are too easy". I've seen it on you tube beaten many times.
I use a wheel DFP with all aids off except abs 1 270 degree rotation and I can finish 3rd but that's it and I can't keep at it or my wheel will end up destroyed.
This test by far is the worst for me , the most frustrating and I don't really get the point of these kind of tests.
Not making the game "fun" for me at this point:mad:

Gt is not a quick game. There are many different ways of playing. For example, one player, did a scrooges guide to GT4. Got to 62% if i remember, without buying a car. And at the smallest amount of cost. Only shelled out for oil changes when he had to, and moaned like hell about it. Read it, its fun.

But i am not a great player. I got 78 golds in GT4. The cone slaloms stopped me. They will stop me here as well. But this afternoon, I got stuck into S8. I finally managed to gold it. Keep trying my friend. You wil do it. Others have, you can. Good luck
 
I golded all 60 and I'll tell you whats the catch to s8.
The alfa is a very light car, takes turns and first acceleration as better than the other cars, top speed as you can see is much lower, though :)
So you need late break to pass as always.
The extra thing here is that the alfa has way too many aids on in that test.
So you HAVE to get in the turns slower than you think and accelerate slower too, to keep the aids from slowing you down way too much.
So very late breaking in the hairpin and last turns and slowly accelerate thrugh the first shikanes, and you should be able to do it.
Don't give up the run even if the start isn't perfect, you'll see.
 
I finally did it but I didn't pass the last car until the chicane.When I finish the last 2 test I will return to Suzuka to do this test over again until I can pass the last car at the hairpin and then I'll post a video.I can almost pass the black lambo after the esses so the first part for me is no problem. It's getting that piece of garbage stopped for the hairpin and turning for the spoon that I have to figure out. No aids and abs only at 1. I don't know how everybody else who has a video did it with driver aids or not, but I always turn off everything that I can. This test has skid recovery and something else on by default and they can't be turned off.
Only S-9 and S-10 to go and then Ill post my 60 golds. :)
