Hello and welcome to the Suzuka time trial challenge. This will be a place you can
come and see how your times on Suzuka compair with other people on GTP.
As with my other Challenge(here) I have a set of rules that will be followed.
Here are the set of rules(yes they are from the other challenge).

UPDATE
New coding added for TCS.

All time's are to be done in Arcade mode
Normal, Tuner & Concept cars use only N2's and S2's
Race & Rally cars use only R3's
-10% weight and 0% horsepower
All driving aids allowed
N2, S2 and R3 tire's only


And here is the coding I would like everyone to use when posting.

Time - Driver - Car - Tire

Here is the color code I used(remove the space after color=)

[COLOR= "DarkOrange"]your time[/COLOR] - [COLOR= "Blue"]your name[/COLOR] - [COLOR= "Red"]your car[/COLOR] - [COLOR= "Green"]tire[/COLOR]
(tire is so I know where to put the time, but I won't put it on the board)


If you used TCS please add this to the end.

[COLOR= "Purple"]TCS on[/color]


And if you have a updated time please add this to the end(remove the space after color= and [B),

[COLOR= "Red"][B ]UPDATED[/B][/COLOR]

This is awesome, James. I'll post a few times tonight, since I already finished the previous challenge...

You're asking as in the word, or the car?

I think it's the Acura DNX in the NTSC version... it's a prototype, looks like a NSX on steroids, has 4WD and a blue windshield. I'll see fi I can find a pic.

Thanks for the clarification Diego :) , I found the car, it's in acura, not honda(for ntsc anyway) and yes the time I posted is in the Renault 5 maxi turbo rally car '85.

turns out that holl01 has movies all over youtube. damn he is fast.

and i messed up the exit of the first turn and drifted half the esses, i feel i can get quicker if i put in a cleaner lap.
 
Oh, I wasn't messing with you... I was just commenting on it. In no way, shape or form have I doubted your time.

And D0wNForc3, next time you update a time please and the UPDATED tag on the end.

my bad -Diego-, i wasnt saying you doubted my time, i didnt really know what you meant by that. im just tryin to establish what sort of a time that is.

Even if you select the R5 tire for the FGT, you are forced to use R3 tires -- just the way it is in the game -- check the replays (RM / RM). I'd say holl's biggest advantage for that lap was the use of a wheel, but the guy is insanely fast with a DS2 as well. Oh, and he doesn't use TCS.

Also, in comparison with this time trial, I believe holl used the +10% power / -10% weight options, rather than 0% power.

Your lap is quick compared to Formula1 standards, but they don't want to die and they don't have restart buttons. Give it a bit more practice and you should be able to shatter that 1'29 of yours. ;)

I might give this one a shot as I love the FGT, but I'm not a huge fan of the car in Arcade form.

i didnt know that about the r5 tyres for the fgt in arcade mode. u learn something new everyday. i like the car in gt mode better aswell, im not the biggest fan of the arcade mode. i reckon with a bit of work i can get that 1'29 to maybe a low 1'27
i use the DFP aswell, but watching that holl1's laps shows just how much time there is to be had. the guy is amazing. do u know what view he drives in???
 
hey Z, i checked that thing about the tyres for the fgt, it shows up at the start of the screen before u race as rss but in the replay it says rm, weird. so i used the 20+ power and -10 weight and got like 1.26.xxx. so im not sure what to think. is it deffinately always rm tyres on the fgt?

I am enjoying this challenge and I am glad to be "back" racing with this group. I have been finishing up some schooling and now I seem to have a great deal more time on my hands for this foolishness:dopey: . Here are a few new times:

And I think that I agree woth Z, not a big fan of the FGT in Arcade Mode.

Well, I didn't save my replay so please don't count this as an official time, but last night I managed something like a 1'27.2xx with 0% power / -10% weight, TCS on and the DS2 controller; I think something in the range of 1'26.6 is possible -- maybe a little faster.

I am not certain what view he drives in, but I believe there was at one time a discussion about this over in the Weekly Race Series forum. Perhaps it has been archived by now.

Also, last night I selected the RSH and RH options as well as RS and RSS tires -- all of them displayed as RM tires in the replay and the car felt the same to me on each compound.

1'27............i really do have some time to make up now. this is turning into my first battle on this place i was involved in from the start. great.

also Z, i always seem to do better laps in the fgt in arcade when i use ss, maybe im going out with confidence of more grip or something. placebo effect like.

do most people that "race" here use the ds2?
