Suzuka to be in GT4?

I was reading an article a few days ago (can't find the link) and it mentioned that new tracks, such as Tsukuba, and Suzuka will be included. Since we have seen pictures and videos of Tsukuba, there is no doubt in that, but does anyone know about Suzuka being included? I would have thought PD would have included Suzuka a long time ago considering it is their Japanese Grand Prix circuit.

Also, does anyone know if Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and Cote D'Azur (Monaco) will still be in GT4?
 
PD apparently modeled all of the tracks used in the real life Lupo Cup Challenge for the GT: Lupo Cup special edition of the game... so we should be seeing Suzuka, Fuji, Motegi, and other Japanese tracks in the game.
 
Are you serious? That is great news! But if they did infact model all of them, you don't think they would leave them out in GT4 after going to all the trouble of making them, and never use them do you? If they do, I can't wait to fly around Suzuka, going around the 130R!!!

I'm expecting them to be in GT4 as a collective. 100 tracks don't come easy... and the focus is on real life circuits this time.

By the way, I just bought a '97 Honda Civic EX about a month ago... wow, a month with my car, I can't believe it! :)

by the way, the number of tracks for GT4 is adjusted to little over 50...

Too bad they're changing the layout of that corner at this very moment:mad:

After the crash McNish had there last year, they've decided that it's too dangerous and the track is being remodelled at that point!

I hope they put in the old version of the track (or both)

Yeah I agree, but chances are it will be the new layout, it all depends on when they modelled the track, and if they are changing it.
 
Hmmm, this thread is about 7 months old. Has there been any news regarding Suzuka recently? I really hope it is in GT4. It has always been a favorite of mine in the F1 games.....
 
Well somebody who posts on Gaming Age and works for Sony said months before E3 that Suzuka, Monza and Spa Francorchamps would be in GT4. :eek:

Well anything could happen is GT4 true, but is was it on the forums that they said it? if so I dont know if id belive them because we havent heard of anyother tracks being in GT4 lately and i also dont think that someone from Sony or PD would post something like that either unless it was in an interview then yea, im not doubting you but to me its still up in the air.. nothing solid at this point... but would be cool though.... :)
 
Well I've seen a screenshot of Monza. It was scanned and posted on Gaming Age a while back but I can't find it now. It was a screen of turn one it looked pretty good to, I think the mag was gameinformer where they compared the tracks in GT4 to the real life ones.
 
The shot with the open wheeler? That is Monza but I have checked it compared to other GT4 pics and the graphics arn't the same, I think that might be from Race driver 2.
 
No the camera was pointing down on the track at turn one. It was defintely Monza, becuase I've played enough F1 games :p

Awesome. Do we know the final count for tracks in GT4? I'm more concerned with tracks than cars. I've gotten to where I have just a couple favorite cars and race them on nearly all the tracks.
 
if spa is in GT4 i'm gonna just flat out nut in my pants... that's such a tease if it doesn't end up in there cuz Spa is an awesome race track. certainly one of my all time favorites. Blasting through eau rouge is gonna be so much fun
 
The first chicane of Monza is quite different.

I think it's Sugo (last chicane).

In fact, it's good news 'cause Sugo is quite challenging imo.

That's Fuji. It's a RL-GT4 comparison I saw a few weeks ago.
 
Have any of you heard about the new Japanese street course that PD was adding to GT4, since the delay was announced? It was a street course in the 'burbs of Tokyo, apparently.
 
Tokyo huh? I guess that would be interesting. I would rather have Nurburgring though.

I dont know if anyone has already mentioned this but the picture posted by tiptopcream is not of monza at all, its completly different to the first corner of monza, which is more of a square chicane. this is of a corner in the final sector of the fuji international speedway.


cant wait for GT4, especially with the nordschliefe circuit (the old nurburgring!) over 14 miles long!!!

When you go down the hill for the right - left that leads back up the hill onto the start finish straight. But it looked like Monza back then. :p

Monza would still be nice. It is a high-speed track that's pretty technical. As far as Suzuka goes, I think that if you want to talk history, Suzuka is possibly the best circuit in Japan. It is Japan's answer to the other F1 circuits of the world. This year, though, the Suzuka race won't be the last of the F1 season. Instead, it's going to Brazil at Interlagos.

Suzuka is a great JGTC track as well. I wouldn't be surprised if a race featuring JGTC race cars will be in an endurance there. To stir the pot, let's say only GT500 and GT300 cars are allowed for that race. It would make the race about the closest you'll get to the JGTC. But if Suzuka doesn't make it, Fuji is still a nice pick up.
 
I think Fuji will be in place of Suzuka, Fuji hosted the first rounds of the Formula 1 World Championship in Japan back in the 70's before safety concerns lead to the development and subsequent relocation of the race.
